Jeddah - We will start driving from Jeddah at 9:30 AM for an hour up north to the moon valley on Asfan Road towards the University of Jeddah, after which you will reach a village from where your hiking destination will be just 25 minutes away. - Ghran - Moon Valley is located approximately 120 kilometers from Jeddah city. It has the best desert views and rock formations for hiking that resemble pictures of the moon’s surface.
The valley atmosphere is proper for a mediation session and connects better to nature (Bring your mat).
We will start heading back to the city after we take our last break in the Valley (Beverages & snacks are provided). Travel time back to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia is 1 hour.

One of the best experiences you MUST do when in Jeddah - This was just incredible. My guide was fantastic and I felt super looked after (especially as a solo female traveller).
The climb was great and the views spectacular - highly recommend them.

Lovely morning tour to the moon valley - We had a lovely morning tour to the moon valley. Our local tour guide Abdullah was very friendly, enthusiastic and authentic. He picked us up at 6.30 am, we had a beautiful sunrise on the 1.5 hour drive to the Moon Valley. The area is very scenic and in the morning we were the only people there. From all the plastic lying around at the parking area, it'll probably get quite busy in the afternoon/on the weekend.
The hike itself was quite short, less than 1km/half hour uphill, the views from the top were excellent. We were back in Jeddah at 12.00.

Great 1st hiking adventure in jeddah - Me and my friends was our 1st time to do hiking in jeddah. We really enjoyed the experience and we were lucky to select Abha Tours to be our organizer.
The tour organiser was Dr.Osama who was very cooperative, helpful and quickly responding to any inquiries.
Our tour guide was Mr.Amer who was very helpful, professional, cooperative, freindly and generous.
I would recommend Abha tours to any any one seeking doing any kind of tours around saudia and i am looling forward to deal with them with any future tours.

Fabulous experience taking the Moon mountain hike near Jeddah - My wife and I enjoyed a beautiful experience doing the Moon mountain Hike near Jeddah, with the most outstanding host in ABDULLAH. I strongly recommend taking this visit to the lovely moon valley, breathtaking views and an overall spiritual experience. I recommend Dr, Osama’s service and in particular highly appreciate Abdul as our guide.

Incredible landscape! - This was a great trip! Amer is an excellent hiking guide. He speaks good English, is knowledgeable and friendly, and the views from the top of Moon Mountain at sunset are amazing!

A Worthwhile Half Day out of the City - It was a fun and interesting hike just an hour or so out of Jeddah. I went solo with my guide Amir. We hiked, climbed rocks, ate dates and drank coffee - a perfect half day. Amir was super friendly and knows the area well. It's moderate exertion, but if you're not comfortable there are lots of options in the area.

Stunning Moon Valley - Abdullah our guide was very warm and welcoming, we enjoyed our conversations with him and he is an excellent hiker and climb guide. Moon Valley is beautiful and very awe-inspiring, the experience of climbing the rock and seeing sunset are memories we will cherish. We are so happy we did this with Abdullah and organised by Osama from Abha trips who we highly recommend.
Things to note: it is a climb and there are places where you are scrambling up high and even need to descend on your bum as it is very steep, so you need to be ok with that. We were picked up at 4.30pm because of the heat, if we did it again we would ask to be picked up an hour earlier and take the first half hour of the climb in stronger heat as it’s a quick climb to the top otherwise and it’s a push, you also come down in the dark with a headlamp so again, you just need to be ok with that. And if you are ok with all that, then do it, it’s a truly incredible experience!

A lot more to be explored - The views are good, the location is out of nowhere with great wilderness. The hike itself is a bit too short. With a long drive, it would be even more worthwhile to explore more treks or fun rock formations in the region. The Moon Valley has a lot more to be explored.

No-show of guide! - Guide did no show up and could not be reached. Contact details provided were wrong (guide / agency could not be reached via phone - was a wrong number). Guide/agency did not respond via the chat. I sincerely hope, I will get the money back!
