10/10 Great experience for any space lovers! - Scott and the team at the Jasper Planetarium were incredible, thank you so much for making the schedule work to fit us! We had an absolutely unforgettable anniversary and seeing the Auroras was the perfect cherry on top. Ben, Gerran and Jerry were all very informative and patient with answering our questions. If you're in Jasper and are graced with beautiful evening weather, you can be sure the Jasper Planetarium team has you covered. 10/10!!!

Amazing experience - We had a great experience at the Planetarium. All the staff are so passionate and knowledgeable and this comes through strongly. My youngest son was so enthusiastic, but rather than rushing him, they listened politely and respectfully to him. He said this was the best part of the holiday!

Good little tour, worth doing - Good little event. Unfortunately we didn’t do dark skies due to cloud and smoke, but quickly refunded and a rain check for the telescopes. Well organised and even though visibility was limited, I still learned things and enjoyed the tour.

Unique opportunity to see a Dark Sky Preserve - This is an incredibly unique opportunity to experience a Dark Sky Preserve. As we visited in summer, our tour started at 11pm because sunset is so late. First there's a unique planetarium show, then a series of 10-minute sessions with scientists/students about the auroras, space rocks, and peeks through a video telescope and 3 traditional telescopes. Finally, we went on a 1 km walk by the lake at the beautiful Fairmont with Tyler, a self-described space nerd, who gave each of us binoculars and pointed out things in the sky to look at. We saw Saturn, a variety of stars, a ring nebula, and even the Andromeda Galaxy. This is not your average planetarium show! Strong recommend.

Rather pricey. Enjoyed most of the talk. A bit less cincrete stories and info than expected. - Loved the music. Loved the Indigenous story about Ursa Major. We would have liked to hear more of those stories about other constellations. The zooming in and out made us nauseaus! Could not always hear the guide.

Not recommended - We were really looking forward to this evening and were disappointed. The part in the dome was like a bad power point from the 90s the image quality wasn't particularly great either. The information that was told about the indigenous people and their interpretations of the skyscapes was very interesting the rest rather sluggish. The telescopes were okay, but even that was nothing special, neither that could see through for themselves nor that were shown digitally on a TV. On the trip with binoculars we were not traveling in a part of the park where it would have been really dark, but on the grounds of Fairmont Lodge with many lamps and bungalos. On the way back to Jasper you could see the night sky better and the Milky Way was brighter. Employees have been the highlight of this activity, they burn for what they do, but can't make up for the rest. Overall a very disappointing and expensive experience. Better do it yourself with a night sky app and your own binoculars.
