After suiting up in clean gear and receiving a safety talk, you start heading down the river. The section begins with about a 10-minute float. This allows the paddler time to feel comfortable in the raft, experience the river environment and take in the 360-degree mountain view. After this short float, the grade 2 rapids begin. Grade 2 is big enough to get everyone who wants to get wet, but it is unlikely anyone will go for an unexpected swim.
After 4 or 5 sections of rapids, the Miette River joins the Athabasca, highlighting the color difference between a rain and snow fed river and a glacier fed river. The trip ends just around the corner at Old Fort Point. After getting out of your wet gear, it is a 3 km drive back to town. All trips are in 8 person-guided rafts. Rain or shine, this trip is great for ages 5-95.

- Minimum age of 5 years old
- Late and No Show Policy: Please double check the date and time on your confirmation. Our primary pick up location is the RV Parking Lot and scheduled departure times are based on this location. We ask that all participants arrive 15 minutes prior to departure time. There will be no refund provided if you arrive after departure time or do not show for the date and time of your scheduled trip.
- Wear your bathing suit or t-shirt and shorts under regular clothes. All river gear is provided.
- Arrive 15 minutes prior to trip time.

RV Parking Lot
Next to the Jasper Home Building Center (706 Sleepy Hollow Road), and across the railway tracks from the set of traffic lights at the intersection of Connaught Drive and Hazel Avenue. Look for our yellow or blue school buses with yellow rafts on the trailer.
Please arrive 15 minutes early.

great family friendly trip down the river - This was such a great expirience. My kids first whitewater adventure (12, 9, &8). it was super low key and not scary at all, but enough splashing and moving water to keep them interested. Wear swimsuits (they give you wetsuits to put on over them), and bring a towel. Molly was our guide and she was WONDERFUL.

White Water Rafting - Made our own way to the meeting place as arranged. Our guide Luke made the experience fun, but I am sure he deliberately got me wet, which was part of the excitement.

Great family experience! - Our family of 4 (2 adults, 5yo, 9yo) had a great time. Our guide, Luke, made it a fun experience. We felt safe, but the kids were thrilled by the experience as well. A great starter experience for someone with no experience in a beautiful place!

. 45 min in the water. Did not get wet at all. So u can go sho - It was amazing experience. They provide full suit so u don’t get wet at all. Meeting place was very good. Easy to find. You can go out right after this activity no need to change any clothes.

So much fun! - Great experience rafting the Athabasca river and was so much fun. Molly our guide and Fred our driver were fantastic through out, would definitely recommend if visiting Jasper
