San Sebastian Tour - Warmest people, beautiful location, and tequila. Ask for Signor Miguel Delgadillo, the tour guide. He will keep you safe, well hydrated, well fed, and entertained. Highly recommended.

Juan Carlos and Omar are the best guides - These guys made the whole trip fun. Juan Carlos knew a lot about the history of the area, the people from the area and made it all interactive by asking us questions about what we knew or thought we knew about the area. Omar was an excellent driver. Their banter back and forth was hilarious. I 100% recommend this tour and if you get lucky, you’ll end up with these guys.

Totally worth it - Excellent cultural tour of a pristine Mexican village nested in the mountains. This tour will bring you to picturesque historical sites, a coffee plantation, a tequila distillery, a church and several shops selling locally-made items (not your typical gift shops for tourists). Lunch at a local eatery is included, and ours was absolutely excellent (food-wise and service-wise). Our guide, Adam, was very knoledgable and personable, with a good sense of humor. Jorge, the driver, was also nice and professional.
The only downside is that you pretty much don't get any time to roam freely in the village.
Lastly, a few words of advice:
- Those who have severe mobility issues should not book this tour, as most of the tour consists in walking on cobblestone streets and very narrow sidewalks. If you need a walker or a wheelchair to move around, it's simply not doable at all.
- The bus is quite tight. I'm 6-foot tall with a normal weight and I felt cramped. If you are very large (vertically and/or horizontally), you won't have a good time in that kind of bus. And it's 4 hours back and forth.
- The bus ride is very shaky, so if you have motion sickness, you should plan for this. Sitting in the front will probably help.

Lovely place - Beautiful place! We learned a lot about the culture and history of Mexico and San Sebastian. We saw the real Mexico and it was amazing. The tour guide, Miguel, was excellent and the driver Bernardo was really kind. We recommand for everyone who wants to see a little bit of history during their vacation in Puerto Vallarta.

Guide and driver were terrific! - Our guide, Miguel, and driver, Jorge, made this day really special! Miguel’s knowledge of history in the area coupled with a genuine love for his country made the tour a great learning experience in addition to the beautiful scenery. The tequila tasting was delicious and informative and the family who live and work there were terrific! The authentic Mexican lunch was also delicious!
We felt very safe the whole time and well cared for. The van was nicely air conditioned with comfortable seats, but the rows were too close for my husband’s 6’+ frame.

Wonderful tour! - What a great excursion! We had a wonderful day together with Poncho and the second best driver in Mexico, Ivan. Poncho was very good at providing context and history of the San Sebastián del Oeste area.
The scenery is beautiful. The stops at the Tequila distillery was very informative, and the samples were Muy Rico!
The coffee plantation was also interesting to learn about the history of the family and their business.
Next stop was lunch with the most tasty Mole sauce!
Finally, a tour of the village of San Sebastián del Oeste with the beautiful church, old cobblestone roads, and rich mining history dating back to the time of the Spanish colonizers in 1605.
It's worth a visit!
If you're motion sick, make sure to take your medication before as the roads are very steep and windy.

Historical OK Tour - The best part of the tour was the guide, David. He was very knowledgeable and personable. Kind of a grandfatherly type. The van was not comfortable because of very limited legroom. The air conditioning was adequate, however. There was not a lot to see in San Sebastian, although David really tried to give as much detail as possible on its history. The lunch was just OK, simple Mexican fare and nothing special. Plan appropriately because the lunch is not scheduled before 2 PM. The stops were average, the best being the delightful tequila distillery. There was not much to see at the coffee place, but bags of their coffee were reasonably priced. The jewelry shop was very expensive and the chocolate shop was a bust- not much selection and we were unable to see the chocolate making process I guess because of the late afternoon.

Ride is bumpy and long - Omar and Alfonso were wonderdul. Very informative! We were given a very detailed history on our drive. The drive is far longer than the tour and it’s a very bumpy road with lots of curves. I did t care for the ride as it was to long . The mountain town was like an old western town. Thr tequila tour was informative. The silver and coffee tour were more to get you to buy stuff than a tour. I was looking forward to the coffee tour as I’ve been to them in other countries but they did not give a tour really. Alfonso just told us about it. The church was beautiful and a good piece to see. The lunch was good . It was a long ways for really not much . I wouldn’t go on this again or really recommend it. Since the drive is long , I would suggest to offer a bottle of water on the ride. When selling this tour I would tell the buyer that the ride is longer than the tour and that it’s a very bumpy twisty road. The guide and driver did a good job and me not liking the tour has nothing to do with them.
