  Christ Redeemer Monument, at the top of Corcovado Mountain (710m / 2330ft), is certainly Brazil’s most famous landmark, located in the first sector of the Tijuca Forest National Park.
  The moderate hike starts at Parque Lage at the base of Corcovado Mountain, a park covered with Atlantic Rainforest, with a beautiful and imponent old mansion and many century-old palm trees.
  The trail is around 2hs, and crosses the preserved Atlantic forest of the Tijuca National Park to one of the most beautiful views of the city from the top of the mountain!
  From up there the view is very rewarding and it’s considered to be one of Rio’s most privileged belvederes.

The moderate hike begins at Parque Lage, located at the base of Corcovado Mountain. This park is adorned with Atlantic Rainforest, a stunning and grand old mansion, and numerous century-old palm trees. The trail, which takes about 2 hours, winds through the preserved Atlantic forest of the Tijuca National Park, leading to one of the city’s most breathtaking views from the mountain’s summit! The view from the top is incredibly rewarding and is considered one of Rio’s most privileged viewpoints.

• The ticket to access the statue only can be purchased upon arrival at the top, in the park’s ticket office. Not sold in advance.
