  • Oshino Hakkai - Oshino Hakkai is a picturesque attraction in Japan’s Fuji Five Lakes region, featuring eight clear ponds and traditional thatched-roof buildings. Visitors can enjoy tranquil walks, stunning views of Mount Fuji, and a glimpse into Japan’s traditional rural life. The ponds are fed by snowmelt from Mount Fuji, creating a serene and beautiful setting. A visit to Oshino Hakkai provides a peaceful nature escape in a culturally rich area.

  • Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine - The Kitaguchi Hongu Fuji Sengen Jinja Shrine, also known as the Fujiyoshida Sengen Shrine, is the main Sengen Shrine on the north side of Mt. Fuji in Japan. The shrine is said to have been established in CE 100 and is dedicated to Konohanasakuya-hime, the Shinto goddess of Mt. Fuji. The shrine has an extensive history and has played a significant role in the development of Shintoism in Japan.

  • Lake Kawaguchi Ohashi Bridge - Lake Kawaguchi is one of the five lakes that surround Mount Fuji in Japan. It’s a popular tourist destination known for its beautiful views and outdoor activities. Would you like to know more about its location, history, or activities available?

  • Mt. Fuji Subaru Line 5th Station - The 5th Station of Mount Fuji, also known as Fujinomiya 5th Station or Yoshida 5th Station, is the most popular starting point for climbers during the summer climbing season. It is located at an altitude of about 2,300 meters (7,546 feet) and offers facilities such as restaurants, shops, and accommodation. It’s also accessible by road, making it a popular destination for those who wish to experience the mountain without climbing to the summit. The station provides stunning views of the surrounding area on clear days.

  • Chureito Pagoda - Arakurayama Sengen Park is a famous park located in Fujiyoshida City, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan. It’s well-known for the Chureito Pagoda, a five-storied pagoda that sits on the mountainside overlooking Fujiyoshida City and Mount Fuji.
The park is particularly popular during cherry blossom season (usually in mid-April) when over 600 cherry trees bloom, providing a breathtaking backdrop to the pagoda and Mount Fuji. To reach the pagoda, visitors must climb a steep staircase of 398 steps, but the view from the top is considered one of the best in Japan.
Apart from the pagoda, the park also includes the Arakura Fuji Sengen Shrine, which is part of a larger shrine complex dedicated to the worship of Mount Fuji. The park is a popular spot for photographers due to its stunning views, especially during the cherry blossom season and in autumn when the leaves change color.

  • Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nemba - Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba is a traditional Japanese village located on the western shores of Lake Saiko in Japan. This village was destroyed by a landslide during a typhoon in 1966 and was later reconstructed to preserve and exhibit the traditional thatched roof houses.
The village offers a beautiful view of Mount Fuji and the surrounding nature, making it a popular tourist destination. Visitors can explore the traditional houses which have been converted into shops, restaurants, and museums showcasing local crafts, silk production, and other aspects of regional culture. It’s a great place to experience the traditional lifestyle and culture of Japan.

  • Lake Ashinoko - Lake Ashinoko, also known as Lake Ashi, is a scenic lake in the Hakone area of Kanagawa Prefecture in Honshu, Japan. It’s a crater lake that lies along the southwest wall of the caldera of Mount Hakone, a complex volcano. The lake is known for its views of Mt. Fuji, its numerous hot springs, historical sites, and ryokan (traditional Japanese inns).
One of the most popular activities at Lake Ashi is to take a sightseeing cruise on one of the replica pirate ships. On a clear day, these cruises offer stunning views of Mount Fuji. The area around the lake is also known for its abundance of hiking trails and natural beauty. The Hakone Shrine, a major shrine that sits on the lake’s edge, is another popular destination for visitors.

  • Owaku-dani Valley - Ōwakudani (“Great Boiling Valley”) is a volcanic valley with active sulfur vents and hot springs in Hakone, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. It was created around 3,000 years ago, as a result of the explosion of the Hakone volcano.

Mount fuji trip - Our journey started sharp at 830 am .Mr Ali was waiting outside our hotel ,he talked about the day plan starting with hakone. We first visited lake aishi had a pirate cruise 🛳 followed by rope way to owaakudani hot springs. 🔥 We saw the black 🥚 of owakudani and smelt the Sulphur gas in air. Following which we saw the majestic mount fuji 🗻 and the picturesque oshino hakkai . Ali helped us through out the journey by giving the gist of all the attractions .

Great tour to Mt. Fuji - We thoroughly enjoyed the drive to Mt. Fuji. On the way we stopped at Oshino-Shibokusa, a small village where we got to see traditional houses and beautiful gardens. We also stopped at a shrine in Fujiyoshida - Kamiyoshida before the drive up to 5th Station (Mt. Fuji). Rana, our tour guide and driver for the day was very knowledgeable and made our trip entertaining and exciting. We ere able to see Mt. Fuji in all her splendor both from Station 5 and also from Arakurayama Sengen Park. I highly recommend this tour.

Scenery great, but total disappointment - We were supposed to have an English speaking guide. We got a driver who speaks English The itinerary is ok, but if in July 5th station is packed with tourists, say it in advance.

Scary frightening experience - We had great hopes for this trip but ended up being terrified and worried for our lives with a wreckless driver/guide. Falling asleep while driving, running red light, swerving in traffic and hitting 140 km/hr. Photos included of driver falling asleep while behind the wheel. The actual places we visited were spectacular but I would recommend finding a different booking agency as this particular one has no standards whatsoever for the safety of their tourists.

Terrible guide/driver - Try to avoid this company!!! Our guide and a driver Ali (not Japanese) does not know how to drive that our precious travel time was wasted on the road so much. Thus, we could not enjoy each site we visited. Ali took double the time to reach each tour site, visited the sites that we did not want, even though we told him very clearly, wasted more of our time to find parking space instead of dropping us at the entrance. We never seen any tour guide/driver does not know how to merge to the highway. Ali completely stopped at the edge of the exit to the highway to wait there is absolutely no car on the highway. We were speechless and felt very dangerous and hoped that no car comes behind us to hit us. When we finished only 3 sites out of 6 scheduled sites, Ali told us that we had to go back to Tokyo due to traffic. This was so absurd!!! Ali also complained about how early he had to get up and how late he may go back. Why do we have to hear about this? We booked this tour on Sunday on purpose because Sunday is the less traffic day in Tokyo and surrounding area, and less crowd day for the tourist sites. We never faced this kind of terrible experience when we were on private tour. We booked this private tour to save time and visit more sites, if possible, with less crowd. However, our trip started with no hello greeting by Ali and went exactly opposite of our goal. We barely had time to enjoy at each site because Ali's terrible driving skill and terrible trip management/organization skill. He went the most busiest site in the middle of the day that we wasted about 2 hours by standing in line to get a ticket. That is just one example. I am writing this review to warn other travelers who want to have a nice day trip to Mr Fuji area. You may find the public transportation or other group tour more useful and efficient. Luckily, the weather was so great that we, at least, enjoy the nice view of Mt. Fuji, but dealing with Ali ruined our entire day. I do not think this company is a good choice for your trip if they send a guide/driver like Ali...

Don't do it, company cancelled last minute... Zero stars... - No stars is more like it. My husband and I were very excited for this day trip. However, like many have said no communication from this company at all. I'm in Japan at the moment, day before we were to go on this excursion and just got notice that it was cancelled by the tour operator. No reasoning was given. We have been trying to call to find out and no answer. Save yourself the heartache of trying to rearrange and book something else last minute. Go with a different tour operator.

Unsafe and misleading experience - Genuinely scary experience for two female travelers. Driver was very intimidating and made us feel unsafe. After 4 hours of refusing to speak to us, not allowing us a restroom break, and consistently muttering under his breath how frustrated he was with us our trip ended with him pressuring us for a good review and attempted to not let us out of the van. Thankfully when we arrived at our hotel, the staff was able to intervene and get us out of the van safely. We saw some of the negative reviews and did not heed them - please do not ignore them because they are all accurate after taking this tour. This tour is a private driver at best; our guide did not provide us any information and did not seem familiar with Japan or the area. Lastly, tour is NOT customizable nor does it include Hakone. We sent a request for specific places before the tour and told the driver morning of. You will get exactly what is listed on the website and nothing else. When we asked the driver to change the itinerary to include what we had asked for ahead of time he tried to claim it was too far to go and got visibly angry with us for asking.

HORRIBLE SHAMBLES!!! - DO NOT BOOK!!! This tour operator is highly unprofessional and had spoilt what was meant to be a very special trip for us during our Honeymoon. Firstly, we never had any communication from them prior to the trip. We had to chase them and at the last hour had a one word confirmation that we will be picked up from our hotel at 8:30 am the day of the trip. Secondly, on the actual day of our trip, at 6 am we received a text asking if they can collect us at 7:30 am because of the traffic in Tokyo…there was absolutely no consideration of giving us sufficient notice to get ready. We were told that they will wait for us at our hotel’s lobby regardless when we can be ready. We rushed our breakfast and were in the lobby by 8 am to find no one there waiting for us. Thirdly, when we texted this tour operator to find out why they are not in the lobby as this was what we expected given our prior communication with them, we received a photo of a car and multiple text messages asking where we are and where our hotel was. This was quite a shock. Eventually we received a phone call from a highly argumentative driver telling us that he is at our hotel and we are not there. After exchanging some strong words with this guy, he turned up outside in an old van which looked like it was about to fall apart. He started shouting at us to get in. He was not Japanese/local but a foreigner from a county where ‘bait and switch’ tactics are common place. There was no guide with him. He told us that he will do both. At this point we refused to get in as neither it looked safe nor professional. Subsequently, after a few phone calls we managed to speak to Nippon Voyage Tours that operate this trip. We told them that we want a full refund and we were threatened that there will be no refund if we leave bad feedback. That said, as soon as we mentioned complaining to Japanese authorities, we received a full refund straight away. The company claims to be opwratong for 10 years. It’s a lie! They have no idea how to plan or look after tourists!!!
