Drawn by the allure of a lobster feast and the promise of a laid-back day on the water, I embarked on Captain Jace’s Booby Cay excursion. With the ocean as my guide, I set out to discover the rustic charm and culinary delights of this hidden gem in Negril.

Setting Sail with Captain Jace

As someone who has spent countless hours riding the waves and exploring the Caribbean’s hidden gems, I was eager to experience the Negril Lobster Lunch with Captain Jace. The promise of a laid-back day on the water, complete with a lobster feast, was too tempting to resist. From the moment I stepped onto the boat, I felt the warm embrace of island hospitality. Captain Jace and his crew welcomed us with open arms, ensuring that every detail was taken care of, including arranging seamless transportation to and from the excursion.

The boat ride to Booby Cay was nothing short of magical. As we cruised through the turquoise waters of Negril, I couldn’t help but feel a deep connection to the ocean—a feeling that never gets old, no matter how many times I experience it. The gentle sway of the boat and the salty breeze on my face were a reminder of why I chose this life. While some guests opted to snorkel, I decided to simply enjoy the ride and soak in the island’s tranquil atmosphere.

Discovering Booby Cay

Booby Cay may not be the picture-perfect beach you see on postcards, but its rustic charm is undeniable. The island’s quiet, uncrowded vibe was a welcome escape from the hustle and bustle of Negril’s more popular spots. As I wandered along the shore, I felt a sense of peace that only comes from being surrounded by nature’s raw beauty. The slow pace of island life was a refreshing change, allowing me to fully immerse myself in the moment.

The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the incredible lunch prepared by Captain Jace’s team. Watching them grill freshly caught lobsters and jerk chicken over an open fire was a feast for the senses. The aroma of the food mingled with the sea breeze, creating an unforgettable dining experience. Each bite was a celebration of Jamaican flavors, from the succulent lobster to the perfectly seasoned chicken and traditional sides. It was, without a doubt, one of the best meals I’ve had in the Caribbean.

A Perfect Ending

After our meal, we had the option to explore more of the island or simply relax and enjoy the surroundings. I chose the latter, savoring the last moments of this idyllic escape. As we cruised back along the famous 7 Mile Beach, Captain Jace shared stories of the island’s history and pointed out notable hotels, bars, and restaurants that I might want to explore in the future.

To cap off the day, we arranged to be dropped off at Rick’s Cafe, a legendary spot known for its stunning sunsets and cliff diving. It was the perfect way to end a day filled with adventure, relaxation, and incredible food. If you find yourself in Negril, I highly recommend setting sail with Captain Jace for a day that promises to be the highlight of your trip. The combination of warm hospitality, breathtaking scenery, and mouthwatering cuisine is an experience you won’t want to miss.
