Highly recommend this tour - We highly recommend this tour. We visited March 2023 with family (adults). Complimentary cocktails are provided at the start of the tour. The tour was fun, comprehensive and very informative. We very much enjoyed the rum tasting with chocolate at the end of the tour.

Amazing day out , great if u love rum! - Amazing day out at the Appleton Distillery! Great cocktail to start the tour off, u can have as many as you want! Great to learn how they use to make the rum to current times. Using a donkey back in the day to now all machinery. Get to sample 3 different runs, see the ingredients used to make each one! Shop at enc of tour many interesting things to purchase, can be expensive in there though!

Enjoyable and fun tour! - Welcome drinks and restaurant access kept us preoccupied before the tour. The tour itself was short and sweet but very informative. The journey to the estate is very long…but the rum tasting and the restaurant food was certainly worth it!

Overall tour was great. Giftshop and restaurant were letdowns. - The tour itself was good. I think Peter did an amazing job of being entertaining yet very informative. I think the length of the tour was perfect and the samples at the end were pretty good. I think the welcome drinks were pretty good and the bartenders were friendly and welcoming, the drinks could have been a little stronger as you could barely taste the alcohol. The gift shop was the biggest letdown. They didn't have a large variety of items to choose from. I didn't see a lot of merchandise and I think the lighting in the gift shop was terrible. It was too dark and made me not want to look around much. The employees were there talking to each other and didn't really great us as we walked in and we basically had to walk over and interrupt the conversation just to ask questions. The prices advertised on the screen in the lobby are very misleading. They list the rum and the prices but when you go into the shop you realize the prices shown were for a drink in the restaurant. I didn't get to eat in the restaurant because after we ordered the waitress came back and told us they didn't have the part of the chicken we ordered. They also say the food is made to order yet you see the already cooked food in serving pans at the serving station.

A good option for those who do not know a distillery - It is a good and well-organized experience of a rum distillery. For those who have factory experience I felt a lack of safety care and also do not recommend, like me, to make this solo tour.

How to make the tour and guests experience more memorable. - I enjoyed all parts of the tour, especially the learning process. One suggestion I would make is that they provide some form of token/ souvenir at the end of the tour, which would show some form of gratitude to us the guest, if it’s even a small bottle of the signature brand because to spend whatever amount of money to attend but yet all you received is a cup of cane juice and tasting the variety of rum is just absurd . And frankly the cost for the product is way more expensive than in the supermarket. They can probably take a look at that. Why is it that we are visiting the factory but has to spend that high cost for purchasing and brewing our own rum? when I could use the total amount for that to purchase two 8yrs old in the supermarket.
