• National Monument (MONAS) - 1. Visit the Monas Museum At the base of the Monas cup, you’ll find the Indonesian National History Museum. Here, visitors can explore 48 dioramas that depict various periods in Indonesia’s history.

2. Visit the Independence Room In the Monas cup, there’s the Independence Room. Previously, visitors could view Sang Saka Merah Putih, the original flag flown on August 17, 1945. However, due to its age, the flag is no longer on display. In this room, visitors can listen to the voice of Indonesia’s first President, Sukarno, reading the proclamation text.
3. Ascend to the top of the court Don’t miss the chance to climb to the top of the National Monument. From a height of 115 meters, you can enjoy a panoramic view of Jakarta. For a different experience, consider visiting the top of Monas at night.

Enjoying fine arts Around the Monas complex, there are various historical sculptures. Examples include statues of Prince Diponegoro, MH. Thamrin, Chairil Anwar, RA. Kartini, and the Ikada statue.

• Jakarta Old Town - One of the fascinating tourist spots in Jakarta’s Old City is the Fatahillah Museum. This museum is deeply connected to the Old City and serves as a silent witness to the Indonesian people’s struggle for independence.

Originally named the Batavia Museum during the VOC era, it served not only as a city hall but also as a courtroom and dungeon. It’s no surprise that many heritage objects from the Dutch era are still well-preserved in the Fatahillah Museum.

This colonial-style building is a must-visit attraction in Jakarta’s Old City. The Bank Indonesia Museum, a legacy of De Javasche Bank, has been around since 1828.

Here, you can learn about the history of banking in Indonesia, even before the arrival of the Dutch and Japanese.

City Station
Experience a unique atmosphere compared to other stations. The buildings are antique and stylish, offering a different vibe. Built in 1929 and inaugurated by a Dutch General, this train station is now a protected cultural heritage site by the Jakarta City Government.
