Safari desert just as you imagine. - Obviously I have not done several safaris in the Thar Desert to compare them but I think this one more than meets the objectives: visits on the way to a couple of interesting sites (avoiding the Gipsy Village) trip in a fully suitable Jeep, option to make part of the journey in camels (well kept).. and a fabulous Guide. The camp is set up at 55km in a place where there are no more tourists than you.. good dinner (they give the option to take a few beers before going to camp) good breakfast and good company by the Guide (without doubt, the best of the safari) 💯 Recommended

Great experience: recommend - What an experience!! Sambhu and Abeh were amazing guides. Knowledgeable, friendly and funny with excellent English.
Camels were interesting and very well cared for - would recommend a good groin stretch in the days before! Camp lunch and dinner were some of the best meals we’ve eaten.
Camping was cold but worth it for the star gazing.
Overall, very enjoyable and a great experience.

Great brief insight in "desert life" - Great experience! Met nice folks, in an extremely relaxing environment. We were really hesitant as the whole idea of a camel Safari sounds very touristy... However, it didn't feel overly touristy and it was also perfectly ok to just walk instead of sitting on a camel (e.g in case you don't need animals for your entertainment). Talking to the guides by the bonfire was definitely the best part.
In short: glad I did it.

An experience not to be missed when in Jaisalmer - Where do I begin? Padam was very helpful with organizing my trip in Jaisalmer, including the Camel Safari he runs.
There were a few sidetrips before the actual safari itself including to a watering hole and to a fort with a view of an archeological site in a valley.
It was cold though so do take note of bring warm clothes and jackets when doing this tour in the winter. They gave us enough blankets and it was warm once we were tucked in bed.
This was recommended to me by a friend who did it 6 years ago with Wanderlust, and would gladly recommend it to others who are thinking of coming to Jaisalmer!

A beautiful night under the stars!! - We had the most amazing night in the desert on the non-touristy overnight stay. We are vegan, and had reservations about riding a camel, so chose to go to the dunes by Jeep. This was a fun journey in itself and we stopped at a lake and an abandoned village on the way.
When we arrived we wandered off into the beautiful dunes to watch the sunset and enjoy the stillness of the desert.
Arriving back at camp our beds were made and dinner was on the camp fire, along with hot chai (without milk for us). Dinner was simple and delicious. There was no trouble with getting vegan food, and it was one of the best meals we have had in India.
We spent the night under the stars on camp beds with clean sheets and comfortable mattresses.
Parma has put together an amazing team of lovely staff, and this was a real highlight of our trip.
Do this, sleep at wanderlust hotel, and eat at the guest house. You won’t regret it!

The best Camel Safari in india - I had the best experience on Camel Safari by Wanderlust Guest House. In a comfortable car and good driver I arrived in a village to start the Safari Camel. The guide Sambhu was fantastic, helpful, speaks English very well, cooked a delicious food, made the experience better than I could imagine.

Best safari ever!! - I really enjoyed the safari with them, it was one of the best experiences I ever had, they brought us in the desert and I was expecting to be with a lot of people but we were just three of us in the middle of nowhere, we watched the sunset then we cooked a tali, our guide was very funny we had a very good time together, they try to help us with any requests, so it was my best safari. I really recommend them if you want something beautiful and not touristic, they are a great company.
Thanks a lot for the amazing journey

The best safari in Jaisalmer! Out of all touristic routes! - I cannot even descrive how wonderful it was to reach our camp in the middle of the desert on top of a camel! The sand was simply wonderful to walk on!
Once we reached the camp the crew gave us snacks and drinks and we were able to enjoy sunset over the dunes.
Later a wonderful dinner cooked over an open fire and then we slept under the stars on a comfy bed. Wooooow! Can’t recommend Wonderlust safari enough! Will be back and will send all my friends:)
