unforgettable experience !! - Sleeping in the desert was one of the most incredible experiences of my life! The place is beautiful, you can find several animals in the desert such as camels, goats and cows, the vegetation is incredibly beautiful and the place where we slept is magical. The stars during the night are unbelievable and the whole experience was something unique in my life. I RECOMMEND IT TO EVERYONE, IT WAS AMAZING!

Amazing - must do in jaisalmer - staff were fantastic - We have just returned from a night under the stars and it was awesome. We nearly booked a tent stay but so glad we didn't. This was so much better.. We are an adventurous couple in our 50's and even though most of the others on our group were much younger we all just go on so well. The food that is cooked for you on the open fire was delicious. Sleeping on the sand with a full moon was amazing. Sunrise the next morning was magical. Don't be afraid to book this tour you will not regret it. It was 37 the day we went but the program is done so well to keep you out of the heat of the day and sleeping was cool breeze.

Amazing!!! - We chose this company to do our safari. We were five people. We started with a beautiful trip on the Jeap with the kind Sagan who took care of all our needs and was very kind in explaining everything we asked. The experience was so fantastic that after having booked for only one night we decided to extend our safari for another night. This is because the desert is fantastic but Mahendra (the young boy from the desert who was our guide) made our experience unforgettable. He has an incredible experience and made us feel safe and served as if we were in a five star hotel in the middle of the desert. He cooked for us in a great way and knew how to make us have so much fun that going back was very difficult. Next year we will return again with this company that is very organized and with the young Mahendra who is the only person we now trust for desert adventures. Recommended!!

A night to remember - No 5 star hotel can beat this 1000000 starry night sky. It was an amazing experience to sleep in the open air surrounded by the silent and soft sand dunes. Both sunset and sunrise were magnificent and made me feel like I was on a different planet. The team took perfect care of everything and the food tasted so delicious. An experience to never forget! Thank you! 🙏

Surreal - The experience of being in the dune was surreal. Everything from the sunset to sunrise was just something the words can’t capture. They also took very good care in terms of food, bedding and drinking water and we never ran out of water to drink which I felt was very crucial in this type of environment. I would definitely recommend their hospitality and service :)

First experience beyond what I expected - First experience for a desert safari and I was completely convinced by the one I just did thanks to Trotters Tours.
A big thank you to every person on staff who is so caring.
Here you are lucky to be away from any tourist area.
Departure around 1:30 pm, for a visit to an oasis and several villages.
Tea served among curious villagers is completely charming.
After that, the one-hour camel ride begins at the same time as the day comes to an end.
This makes it possible to arrive at the camp in the dunes for the sunset.
Then the evening meal is prepared while you enjoy the view of the first stars.
The food is simply delicious as well as exchanges around the fire.
Then it’s time to go to bed to sleep under the stars, the most beautiful experience of this safari.
It's priceless.
The next day, lunch is served in the same way as the day before, then leave on camels to join the jeep that brings us back.
Still miles thank you 🙏🙏🙏

great, do it - We stayed at little jaisal haveli which Partner with trotters. They pick you up at the hotel, drop you off back at it and give you all nessecary information.
100% recommend the place.
The tour started with a jeep ride from the hotel (2.5h with stops at a lake and a newly built fort with view over an abandoned village). Prepare for it being bumpy, but it's worth it.
Finally we reached the safari location just at the verge between bush land and sand desert with camels waiting for us.
The initial camel ride took ~1.5h and ended at a little desert camp in the middle of a large, slightly elevated, sand dune overseeing the vast savannah and beginning sand desert all around.
We got a really nice non-spicy daal and chapati dinner accompanied by chai and a lovely campfire leading us into the night sleeping under the stars.
The next morning started with a beautiful sunrise accompanied by a lovely breakfast (toasts with jam, porridge, bananas, chai, water).
At the end we got a short camel ride back to the previous day's camel ride starting position (you can also choose to go by jeep if your tighs are hurting too much) and got driven back to our hotel again.
All in all we can only recommend it. Our guide Mahendra was great, explaining and describing everything to us.

Excellent for 1 night only - We did the Real desert safari with 1 night under the stars and 1 night luxury camp
1 night under the stars - fabulous
Would thoroughly recommend.
Left at 1.30 in a Jeep, 2 small stops on way - both good.
Rode a camel to the camp - lots of fun
Camped in the sand dunes, dinner made on the fire, beds in the sand.
All a great adventure.
We moved our beds away from the e camp fire as were a big group and wanted to enjoy the peace. But wasn’t a great spot and we were cold, even with the warm blankets.
Next morning we had breakfast & the others all returned to Jaisalmer
We had a 2 1/2 hour camel ride through the desert & farms. Then had lunch cooked for us in a quiet spot & chilled for an hour. Peter our camel guide was great and made us a really tasty veg curry lunch with bread. So clever on a camp fire in the sand. All this was excellent.
Arrived at the camp at around 2.30.
The tent was nice, loads of space, comfy bed and a bathroom with shower.
But no one greeted us, no drink. We had to ask for water. Camp had no atmosphere- and there was a wall all the way round - so we couldn’t even see the area outside. No activities were offered other than journey to a different camp for local dancing. Food was basic & cold. Not worth the visit at all.
So we would def recommend doing a 1 night, sleep under the stars excision. With a xtra walk & lunch if available.
(Although I had to walk some of the way as found riding a camel uncomfortable and an hour at a time was good.)
Tips.
take :
Torch or phone for night time in camp
Hot in the day but can be very cold
In camp at night - i wore my coat in bed
Suncream
Biscuits for extra snacks
Hat
