Jaipur - Our project taxi will pick you up in the morning at 8:30 a.m. for your volunteer work at the children’s center. You will spend 3–4 hours engaging with the children—teaching them basic English and Math, and organizing fun games and learning activities. Your session will conclude around 12:30 p.m., after which our taxi will drop you back at your accommodation for lunch and a short rest.
In the afternoon, at 2:30 p.m., our project vehicle will take you on a guided sightseeing tour of Jaipur, which will last until approximately 6:00–6:30 p.m. You will explore some of the city’s most iconic landmarks, including:
Amber Fort – A magnificent hilltop fort known for its stunning architecture and scenic views.
Jaigarh Fort – Famous for housing the world’s largest cannon and its panoramic view of the Aravalli hills.
Water Palace (Jal Mahal) – A beautiful palace situated in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, perfect for photographs and a peaceful stop.
Amber Palace - Perched high on a hill in the town of Amer—just 11 kilometers from Jaipur—Amber Fort is one of the most iconic tourist attractions in Rajasthan. Spread across 4 square kilometers, the fort is renowned for its majestic architecture, intricate mirror work, and sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. A blend of Rajput and Mughal styles, Amber Fort offers a captivating glimpse into royal history and culture.
Jaigarh Fort - Located on the Cheel ka Teela (Hill of Eagles) of the Aravalli range, Jaigarh Fort majestically overlooks Amber Fort and the shimmering Maota Lake in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Built in 1726 by Maharaja Jai Singh II to defend Amber Fort, this imposing fortress is named in his honor. Jaigarh Fort is famed for housing Jaivana Cannon, one of the world’s largest cannons on wheels. With its thick walls, underground passages, and strategic vantage point, the fort showcases the military might of the Rajput era.
Jal Mahal - Floating gracefully in the middle of Man Sagar Lake, Jal Mahal—literally meaning Water Palace—is one of Jaipur’s most iconic landmarks. Despite its majestic appearance, the palace was never meant to be a royal residence. It was built in 1750 by Maharaja Madho Singh I as a serene lodge for duck-hunting retreats. Later, his son Madho Singh II expanded and beautified the structure, adding intricate courtyards and refining the façade you see today. With its blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture, Jal Mahal appears to float on water, especially enchanting at sunrise or sunset.
Jaipur
Jaipur - Day 3 mirrors Day 2. Start your morning with the children—engage in teaching, care activities, and say your goodbyes, as this will be your final volunteering session. At 2:30 p.m., our project taxi will take you on a sightseeing tour of Jaipur covering the Monkey Temple, Albert Museum, and Birla Temple. After the tour, feel free to explore nearby markets and temples on foot, as your host family stay is located in a central city area. This day beautifully blends emotional connection, cultural exploration, and local experiences—leaving you with memories that last a lifetime.
Monkey Temple - Monkey Temple (Galtaji) is located about 10 km east of Jaipur, in the town of Khania-Balaji. Each monument in Jaipur has a unique identity—like the “Hawa Mahal,” known as the crown of Jaipur, or “Jaigarh,” the victory fort. Similarly, Galtaji is famously called the Monkey Temple due to the large population of macaques that inhabit the site. The temple gained international fame after National Geographic aired a documentary in 2008 titled Monkey Thieves, which showcased the lives of monkeys at Galtaji. Since then, it has become one of Jaipur’s most visited and fascinating spiritual landmarks.
Birla Mandir Temple - Birla Mandir, also known as the Laxmi Narayan Temple, is a prominent Hindu temple located in Jaipur, Rajasthan. Built on an elevated platform at the base of Moti Dungari Hill, this white marble marvel is one of several Birla temples across India. Dedicated to Lord Vishnu and Goddess Lakshmi, the temple is renowned for its architectural elegance and spiritual ambiance, making it a must-visit spot in Jaipur.
Albert Hall Museum - Albert Hall Museum, located in Ram Niwas Garden opposite New Gate in Jaipur, is the oldest museum in Rajasthan. Also known as the Government Central Museum, it showcases Indo-Saracenic architecture and houses a rich collection of artifacts, including paintings, carpets, ivory, stone, and metal sculptures. A must-visit for history and art lovers exploring Jaipur.
