• J94G+2W5 - Welcoming all ages and skill levels! Our Surf School is dedicated to teaching technical skills that extend beyond just catching your first wave. We tailor our approach to your abilities and objectives, ensuring a fun experience!

The surf lesson lasts 1 hour and 45 minutes, including an introduction to ocean safety and equipment. Breaks for hydration, rest, and feedback are provided as needed.

You will learn the basics and fundamentals of surfing, including safety, popping up, and wave riding. As you gain comfort and confidence, we will introduce more advanced techniques such as paddling over, through, and under waves, sitting on and turning your surfboard, and understanding the difference between white water waves and open face waves.

We aim to foster a fun, welcoming, and safe environment for all clients, whether you’re an experienced surfer or a first-timer. Some travelers enjoy a one-day experience, while others engage with us over a longer period.

Our instructors are experienced surfers, certified in CPR and First Aid by the International Life Saving & International Surfing Association.

The Ride In team consists of lifelong dedicated competitive and soul surfers local to Costa Rica. Our goal is to share our deep love for surfing, the ocean, and our sense adventure with you.

Through our lessons and tours, we aim to not only improve our clients’ surfing skills, but also connect them with the local surf culture and community by creating a welcoming and inclusive community of surfers, and promoting sustainability and respect for the ocean in all that we do.
