Come To the Taste of Costa Rica hungry - I’ve been on other food tours in other countries, and they give you small samplings. This tour was wonderful. You got a full size serving of the ceviche and meat dishes. So…. Bring your appetite. You won’t need dinner when you are done! The food was quite good also.

Excellent Food Tour with Josue - We had a really fun time on Josue’s food tour! Josue was well suited for this experience having grown up in the area with an easy way of engaging us with stories and history of the area and foods. We enjoyed many local foods and beverages and went home happy with a very full stomachs! Josue was very accommodating when it came to food allergies which was an added bonus!
We would recommend wearing comfortable walking shoes as we were on uneven surfaces on the sidewalks and along the beach. We highly recommend!

The perfect way to experience food of Jaco. - We had an amazing food tour in Jacó with Josue! The experience was informal, relaxed, and at the perfect easy pace. He introduced us to so many delicious traditional dishes—and even a few tasty shots along the way. We truly appreciated his knowledge of the area, his warm personality, and the kindness he showed throughout the tour. We really enjoyed our time with Josue and highly recommend his tour to anyone visiting Jacó!

Great time - The food tour with Josue was great. He explained some history, got us yummy snacks (and drinks), and made us feel at home in the city. We went with people, but there were solo travelers as well. Josue also speaks great English, so don't worry if you Spanish sucks (like mine). Have fun!

A great way to get to taste foods and drinks of Jaco, Costa Rica. - Josue was an excellent guide for our food tour in Jaco, Costa Rica. His knowledge of the area is impressive, and his knowledge of foods specific to the area is even more so. We visited about ten different locations including places on Jaco Beach and tried some tasty foods and drinks. If you’re interested in learning more about the foods and drinks in this part of Costa Rica, then take this food tour.

Fun and Tasty Sampling - Great tour for appreciating the local food, expanding your options, and seeing things that don’t necessarily pop up on the big websites.
Josue was very knowledgeable. He presented the history or context about the town or whatever we were eating. I ended up enjoying the food more the way I like a piece of art more after I know a little about it. The appreciation boosts the experience.
As an aside, I also found our 1:1 non food related conversations fascinating as well. He’s a great conversationalist.
I was exposed to things I would not have tried on my own. There were actually places I already skipped over because I didn’t know any better. but after the tour, I ended up returning to multiple places once I knew what to look for.
I scheduled this tour at the beginning of my stay, hoping for ideas, and it worked out great.

Fun local Jaco eats with an expert guide - Had a great time with Josue on our food tour of Jaco.
Started with a corn style cheese snack that looked a bit like a quesadilla.
A chorreadas I think it was called.
Then on to a fish ceviche snack in a bag of chips. That was awesome.
Then on to local bar for a beer and a Patacones which is a local Plantain dish. Everyone loved that.
Then moved on to a restaurant overlooking the beach and had a fresh oyster and watched the sun go down as lightning struck the ocean and the heavens opened.
We then sloshed our way back to the Main Street for a final dessert snack.
Had a fun time and was very well looked after by Josue.
Highly recommend this tour at the start of a visit as it gives you a better idea of the local restaurant scene from an expert guide
