Highlights
- Jabal Shams - Get ready for an outdoor adventure! Our tour guide will pick you up at your designated location at 07:00 AM. The drive from Muscat to Jabal Shams (The Grand Canyon) takes about 3 hours. Along the way, we’ll make stops at fuel stations where you can use the restroom or grab a hot or cold drink. Our first stop will be the 2000-year-old Wadi Ghul village, located at the base of Mountain Ghul. This abandoned village, built from solid stones, can be seen en route to Jabal Shams. We’ll then continue our drive to Jabal Shams, stopping at a viewpoint for photos. From this viewpoint, you can see the trail you’ll be hiking. A short drive from the viewpoint will take us to the trekking starting point. We’ll embark on the W6 trail, a hike that takes approximately 4 hours. The edge of the canyon offers breathtaking views of the various wadis and stunning valleys below.

Awesome view - I did the balcony trail trekking tour with my guide Jamal, who is a friendly person and made the road trip enjoyable. Amazing tour overall. The hike was purely spectacular, highly recommend

A day hiking in the Oman canyon. - Great auditors experience, the canyon is breathtaking. 4 hours hike ending up overlooking a beautiful natural pool and having lunch prepared by our tour guide Ali. Totally recommended to people who enjoy hiking and the outdoors.

A must experience--The Grand Canyon of Oman - The view of "Grand Canyon of Oman" is breath-taking. The hike was moderately challenging but the view was well worth it. Our guide Ali was so helpful and he knows his way around Jabal Shams so well. He prepared a great lunch for our picnic. If you love hiking and trekking, don't miss this experience.
