This adventure is perfectly suited for thrill-seekers. Nearly at the end of the hike, you’ll encounter a steep climb known as Carrasqueira, a near-vertical 40m wall, but rest assured, we supply all the necessary protective gear! Once we reach the peak, we’ll take a break for refreshments, photographs, and to admire the natural surroundings and the 360º cityscape. Positioned within Tijuca National Park, nestled between the Barra da Tijuca and São Conrado neighborhoods, Pedra da Gávea is the world’s largest coastline monolith, standing at 842 meters above sea level. Moreover, it’s not just its size that attracts locals and tourists: Pedra da Gávea is a landmark for mountain climbing, regarded as the city’s most demanding trail with brief climbing portions in the route. However, the exertion pays off: from the apex, we enjoy a stunning panoramic view of the Tijuca Forest, the West Zone, and the full span of the South Zone.
