Incredible! Here's some extra info: - This was one of the coolest parts of our whole trip!! -This hike is difficult, but manageable, and very worthwhile. -Get to the meeting site early in case you don't have the right gear. -Boots: Bring shoes with treads. If the guide doesn't approve your shoes, he'll send you to rent a pair in town (8 euros). -Hiking sticks: not necessary, but could be helpful if you're not confident in steep spaces. They didn't provide sticks, but the shop in town rents them out. -Jacket: It gets cold on the walk back, so that's a must. -The path is super dusty, with everyone kicking up dirt. It could be worth it to have a face covering if you're sensitive to that. -This is listed as 4-5 hours, but ours was more like 6+ (so bring snacks and water). We started at 5pm and got back to town close to midnight. There is a restaurant in town that is open til 2am! It was an awesome evening.

Beautiful walk, fantastic view of the eruptions - Beautiful experience to experience the eruptions of the volcano. Fine guide who explained. Walking back in the dark in the evening was careful but went well. I thought it was pretty tough in terms of effort

On Stromboli with Antonio - I highly recommend Antonio and his group for climbing Stromboli and staying in his rooms. I brought my CAI COSENZA group with him. His professionalism was evident even in the difficulty of rescuing a member who slipped and needed assistance; in less than an hour and a half, we reached our destination, with our member accompanied by the Alpine Rescue team. The injured member and the friend who stayed with her were refunded the entire excursion fee, and the island taxi was paid by the medical guard to Antonio's rooms and ULA. I also highly recommend the rooms managed by ULA, who was patient and available even in the difficulties encountered. The rooms are in a central and strategic location. CANDIDA

Stromboli volcano visit - Trip up Stromboli volcano easier than expected due to nice slow pace keeping group together and stopping to explain the geology of things in basic terms Long walk down in the dark with head torches tiring on the feet.

Good afternoon trip for almost everyone. - Great guide, good explanations about volcanoes and prone to answer any questions. The experience was beautiful, a shame the explosions from the Stromboli weren't that powerful that night. Be prepared to not find any restrooms during more than 5 hours trip. Be prepared with clothing layers, cap, gloves, etc. in the winter the cold and wind, could be intense.
