- A dress code is required to enter places of worship and selected museums. No shorts or sleeveless tops allowed. Knees and shoulders MUST be covered for both men and women. You may risk refused entry if you fail to comply with these dress requirements
- Name on the ticket: All entrance tickets must be purchased in the name of the visitor. It is mandatory to ensure that the name entered during the booking process matches the visitor’s identification. Regardless of the purchaser, the ticket must be in the visitor’s name to be valid for entry.
- Invalid Tickets: If the name on the ticket does not match the identity of the visitor, the ticket will be considered invalid and cannot be used for entry.
- Liability: We do not accept any responsibility for any mistakes made during the booking process. If the visitor’s name is entered incorrectly, the ticket will be invalid and no refunds or corrections can be made.
- Security: Visitors must pass through airport-style security. The wait at the security checkpoint can last more than 30 minutes, depending on Vatican security.

Everything went according... - Everything went according to plan. The host took us to the Basilica Dome entrance and gave us instructions on how to continue our visit afterwards!

It makes the difference - We picked our tickets two blocks from the Vatican. The guy came with us and led us till we entered the Vatican. There were thousands of people queuing to enter and we just went through. Really good.

Audio tour - If you purchase the audio tour be sure to bring your on headphones. The tour does not provide that and the description does not say and remind guests to bring their own.

Satisfactory Experience - The experience was satisfactory. We were able to skip long lines to gain access to the Sistine Chapel. There was little communication between the lead point person and the group in terms of what to expect. They were simply a conduit to entry. Once in, we were on our own.

St Peter’s Basilica non tour. - Even though we purchased a “skip the line” self guided tour. It takes a while 30 minutes to get in, then another 2 hours to get into the basilica. In our case we ran out of time in our schedule and had to leave after 1 and a half hours waiting in line.

Certainly didn’t get to skip any lines - I’m not sure what happened to us this day, but we arrived on time to pick up our tour group and unfortunately were held at the Vatican for over an hour in line and at that point we had to cancel our visit for the day as there was no way we would’ve been able to wait any longer and then comfortably visit and catch our cruise. I’m not sure if this is an issue on behalf of the Vatican or if it had something to do with the type of “skip the line” ticket that this company offers, but we certainly had to wait in a long lineup and did not move any faster than anyone else waiting in line that I saw. I’m still waiting for the company to authorize my refund as they told me it was fine to cancel and to just advise Viator however I’m still waiting for a response regarding my refund
