Once in a 25yr opportunity - This was my high on my to do list- there was a bit of walking and a couple or trips on the metro to get to all the locations, however, walking through these doors is a once in 25 yr event, really glad I had the opportunity
Our guide Antonio was fantastic and was supportive to us all as we made our way across the city- he took time out to support a woman struggling on a stair with a wheelchair, he just had to stop and help - a good man !

Excellent Jubilee Tour - Our guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and informative. Be prepared to walk 10,000 steps! All 4 churches were beautiful. Thank you for a good experience.

Holy Jubilee Path tour of the Papal Basilica. It was a very informative tour and gave us a chance for a Catholic to know - As a Christian and Catholic it gave us an idea and knowledge about it.
I am the age with difficulty to move it is still give the chance to do it.

Great tour and way to see all four doors!! - It was a great trip. Antonio was great. He kept us moving and that was challenging. Be warned, there is a lot of walking in between locations. My 70+ Mother in law struggled a bit keeping up with all the walking and still thinks it was worth it. Only thing I would recommend to make it better is a bit more opportunity to chat with Antonio, he is so knowledgable,

Traveled by metro to holy doors with man-of-few-words guide - The four holy doors are opened for about a year each Jubilee (every 25 years). If you go through all four, it is said that your sins are fogiven and you begin again, fresh. There is no cost to go through the doors, so the purpose of the guide is logistics and explanation of each church as well as the symbology of each door (each has different wood- or metal-work imagery).
We met our guide near Saint Peter's square. The tour could accomodate many, though in this case there was only our family of three. We began with Saint Peter's Bassilica, entering the holy door on the far right. The building was empty, though we came back the afternoon of the next day and it was mobbed. The guide said very little, suggesting that we pray inside. No headset for explanation of church or doors. We then went via Metro to Saint Mary Maggiori, and then walked to Saint John Lateran (cathedral church of the Diocese of Rome and the official ecclesiastical seat of the Bishop of Rome). It was nice to understand the importance of this second church, especially as an American who understands Saint Peter's Basilica to be the most important (when perhaps it is Saint John). We then took a long Metro ride to the Basilica of Saint Paul Outside the Walls. This was a good church to see, and when we took a taxi to the airport and drove by the church, it was mobbed with tour busses. After the visit, our guide had us taxi at our own expense back to the start of the tour (otherwise, we could take the Metro at our own expense).
Overall, an important experience. Guide should have had headsets, better explained churches and doors, and better overseen our transit logistics.

The churches were... - The churches were wonderful. Tour Guide was walking very fast and was asked to slow down - but he said he would wait for us. For a small group, I thought there would be more information on the churches as we walked to each place. He answered questions but did not volunteer much information unless asked.

Lots of walking - Booked this tour afterreading it on Trip advisor it wass a very long morning the transport mentioned was via metro and most of them were a good distance from the churches.
The churches themselves were magnificent but the tour was poorly organised
This is definitely NOT suitable for infirm elderly or people in average health 15000 steps was quite alot.

Rushed tour - Tour was rescheduled 12 hours before it was to start from morning to afternoon. Tour was conducted during peak time. Had it been left at original time, we would have had a more peaceful experience. As it was, we had to run to make it to the last stop.
While we signed up for English, tour guide was Spanish. We are very grateful she explained it in English too. Did not have much time at the 4 stops 10-20 minutes tops. Most of the time was spent on metro or bus. Wish tour was longer so we had more time at churches.
Thank you Connie (tour guide) for the experience and your extra efforts to explain in English.

Disappointed tourists - It was disappointing. She only informed us on the day of the tour at 7:30 am that the time is changed into 2:30 pm. As a travelers with limited time and planned vacation to see places, she should have informed us the day before that the time has changed. We had to checkout of our hotel in the morning, leave the hotel at 6:30 to take the train to Ottaviana. We arrive at 7 am so we had to eat breakfast. It started to rain, we asked around where is the tour. We donot know who is the tour guide, no mention of how we will know our tour guide, what she will be wearing, etc…I contacted her not knowing she was contacting us at 7:30 am to tell us that the time was changed to 2:30 pm. We as tourist have other plans since our time is limited. The company should have taken that into consideration by contacting another company to accommodate us. Our time was wasted with no fault of us and the important thing is we didnot go to the Holy Doors as expected. We came here for the Jubilee 2025.
