Fun day at the canyon - We started our day with the SUP activity, it was very relaxing and beautiful to sup through the canyon. After lunch we went Zip lining. I was a bit scared after starting but was helped by staff to get through it. After all it was very fun and a great experience!

Amazing adventure - This was our second visit to the Canyon Park. We first came 5 years ago when my kids were 13 and 15. It was great then, and even better this time. Over an hour of ziplines, hymalaian bridges, ferratas, all in total safety, that you can take at your own pace, under supervision of the park guides. After this we were allowed to go to the "relax area", a nice beach downstream on the river, with blue fresh water. Total bliss

Excellent fun day outdoors - I had read all the raving reviews on this place but did not quite believe them before I saw it. We were a party of eight people, adults and kids aged 10, 12, 13, 15. Some did the ziplines, some the SUP boards and some both. Staff was very helpful and fun, and everything super-well organized. The canyon itself is gorgeous. Highly recommended. Some notes of the "good to know before you go" type: Reserve good time for the drive there. Google is *super* optimistic about the time it takes. We were delayed because of road works, misadventures, and miscalculation of grocery run time. Staff was super-accommodating and put us with another timeslot (thank you!) but obviously you can't count on that. The ziplines are not just ziplines, but more an adventure park thing with ziplines but also with obstacles like slacklines and rope bridges across the canyon. Our adult/teen party commented that it was challenging but you need more courage and balance than physical strength. Our tall-for-her-age 10-yo who has done adventure parks before rated it "superfun, not hard". The views are amazing. The supboarding experience is more about chilling in the canyon than vigorous boarding, though members who had not been on a sup board before reported getting quite enough exercise. The water is amazingly clear and you can swim from the boards and jump off cliffs to the canyon. Amazing fun experience. There's no food for sale at the canyon so bring your own lunch/snacks, but there *are* water fountains so no need to worry about drinking water. The canyon area is shaded by some trees and the river is very cold, so in this scorching weather it was hot but quite tolerable. People not joining the activities can take walks in the area, swim or wade in the (cold!) river, and if you stand on the bridge (you'll know which one when you arrive) you can watch the people on the zipline course or supboarding down in the canyon, which is also a fun thing to do. This is all free of charge; it's a public area.

Zip line and how I got there without a car - I had a fantastic time at this zip line/course at Canyon Park. There are a lot of like wires and bridges we cross that feel unsteady and a bit of semi rock climbing (there’s some metal parts to use in some places) so be aware of that if booking since it’s not just ziplines. There are a handful of zip lines but none are too long. It’s sort of one you stop yourself; not putting your hand on the line but you slow down at the end and then step up on the ramp to stop (they show you how). This will definitely wear you out though. The view was amazing and they do have a pocket for your phone or helmets for GoPros. I wouldn’t necessarily suggest this if you’ve never done a zip line or ropes course but there were some people who this was their first time and they did fine so that’s your call. My actual guide did only speak Italian but they had someone go over the safety and equipment in English with me but like I said, I have done a lot of these so if you were concerned, you could always contact them about it before booking. There are many other things to do as well there and it is gorgeous. Bring your own water bottle and you can fill it there and you can also bring your own food. Now, all of this is just about how I got there without a car. Getting there (from Florence for us) was a train ride. I would check train times before booking your zip line time since that would probably have more to do with when you’re able to arrive. We got the train to Bagni di Luca then a taxi from there (there wasn’t a taxi outside the station but there was a number. Had to call or use WhatsApp to get the taxi). Bagni di Lucca is slightly closer but you may have an easier time getting a taxi in Lucca if they’ll drive you that far (and I would think they would it might just be a bit pricey). This was a Tuesday in June so pretty normal tourist time. Then we just booked with the same taxi to come pick us up later to take us back to the train station. I would recommend contacting to book a taxi ahead of time. You should be able to Google taxi numbers for the city and do that but we did call once we were already in Bagni di Lucca. It was a bit of a hike up to the park from the parking lot with some steep stairs and some inclines.

A place to visit - I found the park information by luck searching for water activities on the river near La Spezia. The Canyon Park is in the heart of the forest with the Lima River passing across the property. I did the standing paddle and yoga. If you like to connect with nature, it is a beautiful experience you can't miss. You awake all your senses during your experiences on site. I will come back as I have to try the soup yoga. It would be awesome if there will be more openings for soup yoga on the weekends.

Great Zipline Experience - We have travelled from far to Canyon Park. We did the zipline and it was worth every minute of the long trip. It was challenging and fun for all of us. Great scenes, great staff, great experience.

Paddleboarding - lovely setting, staff very friendly, spoke very good English, thorough safety briefing, & excellent safety equipment. Considering it was in a canyon, facilities good, cost was reasonable, I would definitely recommend this place for a bit of extra adventure to your holidays

Great day in the canyon - The canyon is beautiful and loads of fun. The zip lining course was a bit more challenging than I thought it would be. I’m 63 years old but in good shape (run and swim). My adult children (30’s) loved it. We would all do it again! The staff was very helpful and attentive to all participants. A special grazie to Roberto and Matteo.

Great fun experience, I wish it was longer - We were a large group. Some went to the zipline/rope and others SUP. All of us had fabulous time! the staff were the kindest and the place is gorgeous. The clearest water I've ever seen. even though it was raining on us and the water were 10 degrees celsius , we had such a great time. My only complaint is that the SUP surfing stretches over a very short part of the river. essentially, by the time we figured out how to do the SUP we were at the end of the trail. But that gave us ample of time to just hang around in the water and practice the SUP skills. so despite being in the same place, we were not disappointed, and they even let us hang out with the board beyond our time, until the next group arrived. I highly recommend Canyon Park.
