Guests will be welcomed into a charming Ligurian garden surrounded by lush greenery in the summer, or a cozy heated outdoor area in the winter. The class begins with learning to identify the quality and importance of the ingredients in Genoese pesto.

Using a century-old Carrara marble mortar and an olive wood pestle, Camilla will lead participants in crafting pesto. Attendees will manually crush and blend the ingredients to achieve the perfect color and texture.

The freshly made pesto will be sampled, served alongside traditional Genoese focaccia.

The experience continues with the preparation of walnut sauce using a mortar, an ancient and now rare recipe crafted by mortar DA.

Participants will savor the walnut sauce with a serving of pansoti, a typical fresh local pasta.
