Paestum stands as one of Italy’s prized archaeological treasures, nestled in the northern part of the Cilento region, near the Sele River, along the Tyrrhenian Sea coast. Founded by Greek colonists as Poseidonia, it blossomed into the preeminent city of Magna Graecia.

Paestum with an archaeologist: super recommended! - Visiting Paestum with those who work in those excavations was exciting! Ivan not only taught us the history of the archaeological site in a professional way but also managed to pass on all his passion as an archaeologist. Stra-consigliato!

Tour from 10 and praise - Tour made with Mario, a truly exceptional guide. He was able to keep the attention and interest alive for almost 3 hours, thus going well beyond the scheduled time.
He told with passion and professionalism history and anecdotes of one of the most beautiful archaeological sites in the world.

Great competent guide through the ancient Paestum - The tour was of high quality, due to intimate knowledge of the guide.
There was also room for entertaining anectotes from the Fuhrer's personal experiences.
