Amazing! Fun, informative and delicious!! - Excellent food choices and diverse diet more than just a food tour. Our guide, Bahri, provided fun and informative facts about the Istanbul as we walked from restaurant to restaurant as well as showed us where to go eat and hang out and not be such a tourist. Also, our guide was very friendly, knowledgeable and seemed genuinely just as interested about my wife and I and where we came from as we were about Istanbul. I highly recommend this trip and our guide—-what a wonderful person.

Foodie heaven - Great foodie tour of Istanbul! Our guide Tunc walked us through a culinary journey of the city, with 6 stops featuring the best and most favourite foods it has to offer. Finished the tour very full and satisfied!!

Enjoy Istanbul away from the typical restaurants - This was already the second tour I booked and I was thrilled again. Thanks also to Sinan who told us a lot about Istanbul. My highlight was the Balik Wrap and the Baklava. I have never eaten this so well. Anytime again, should I come to Istanbul again a tour is booked👍

Delicious and Informative - Very delicious and informative food tour. Our guide Sinan was friendly and helpful. We had a great time sampling some of the best foods of Istanbul. There was plenty to eat and so many great options. Sinan was well informed and shared a lot of great background and stories with us. We loved our experience--a highlight of our trip to Istanbul!

Fun for the whole family - My husband and I took our two toddlers with us on our tour of Kadikoy with Bahri, and we had a wonderful time! Even when the 2yo was being difficult and whiny, Bahri (and all the restaurant workers) just rolled with it and made everything so peaceful and joyful. And the food was DELICIOUS!

Tremendous way to learn about Istanbul and its food! - Bahri did a phenomenal job with this tour. It was the highlight of the trip for my son and me. So many great new dishes and always as much as we wanted. Bahri was so great at making the city come alive in our minds and interpreting the nightlife around us. Great encyclopedic knowledge of the history behind the food and the places.
Plus, we got to ride on the Tunel funicular! Highly, highly recommend.

Great food tour - Very enjoyable tour. Our guide Bari gave us lots of information about Istanbul and Turkish culture. We tried several delicious dishes and different drinks during the tour.

A great. Evening! - We had an amazing evening with Bahri who took us to 6 different places that we never would have gone to on our own. Each had tremendous atmosphere and the food was all different and VERY good. He gave us lots of history and great conversation. An evening well worth it!

Mixed Experience — Great Guide, But Underwhelming Food Selection - I’m torn about this experience my wife and I did in July 2025. I’ve done many food tours across Europe, and unfortunately, this one ranked the lowest for me. While our guide, Tunc, was excellent—knowledgeable, passionate, and clearly invested in sharing Turkish culture—the overall value of the tour didn’t quite match the price.
We visited six stops in total, and most of the food was inexpensive street fare. While some of it was tasty, none of it really showcased the richness or variety of Turkish cuisine in a memorable way. I left feeling like I’d missed out on the depth and quality I’ve experienced on other tours.
Much of the walking was through crowded, touristy streets where we were frequently approached (sometimes aggressively) by restaurant staff trying to pull us in. This made it hard to relax and enjoy the experience between food stops.
In short: Tunc made the best of the tour, and I appreciated his enthusiasm. But if you’re looking for a deep dive into the best of Turkish food, this tour didn’t deliver that for me—especially given the cost.
