From June to September, hundreds of whale sharks gather on the north side of Isla Mujeres, creating the largest whale shark congregation in the world! This trip offers the incredible opportunity to swim with these majestic creatures. The excitement of snorkeling so close to the largest fish in the sea is an experience you will cherish forever!
After an approximately 50-minute boat ride, you will arrive at the area. Once there, you will snorkel and swim with the whale sharks, with two people per turn, always accompanied by a certified guide. The plan is to enter the water twice, although this depends on sea conditions, the number of sharks, and your swimming abilities. The whale sharks are not trained or caged, and you are visiting them in their natural habitat. We do not feed them, so while we have a high success rate, sightings cannot be guaranteed.
