- Zipline Iceland - After we get dressed up in the zipline harnesses and safety equipment, we drive on to the starting point of our zipline track (about 3-5 minute drive). From the starting point we hike and zip all the way down to the hostel again.

A zipline journey is an exhilarating escapade, perfect for those seeking an exciting yet incredibly safe experience. You kick off the exhilarating tour with a brief 3-minute vehicle trip to the launching site that offers a stunning view over one of Iceland’s significant glaciers, Mýrdalsjökull. The adventure gets even better as it’s a blend of light hiking across the magnificent Icelandic terrain through a river canyon known as Grafargil. We traverse uneven terrain and ride ziplines strategically located over rivers and waterfalls. There are two ziplines, one stretching 240 meters and the other 140 meters. In the course of the journey, there’s a touch of thrill, one part is aptly called The Leap of Faith. The tour usually wraps up with a pleasant stroll back via the old highway no.1. While zooming down the ziplines, don’t miss the opportunity to admire the surrounding landscape, it´s striking and offers a bird’s-eye perspective.

Excellent even for scaredy cats!! - We are a family of four from the UK, our children are aged 10 and 12. After the trip our children both asked us if they could do it again tomorrow! and said it was the best thing they’ve done this holiday.
I am the world’s biggest scaredy cat I emailed before we went to check on how scary it was and couldn’t bring myself to book on to it so just the kids and husband because I didn’t want to spend months worrying about it.
Then once we arrived at the meeting point, I decided to put on the gear and just have a go especially as there was a seven year old in the group.
I am so glad I did as the zip lining was not scary and very fun. HONESTLY IT’S MANAGEABLE for even the most scared people.
The instructors were so encouraging and if it wasn’t for them I couldn’t have done it.
The end part is the best.
No one should miss this as I did not regret it and so pleased I could share in the family fun.

Exhilarating and scenic zip line adventure - fun for the whole family! - This was a highlight of our Iceland trip! The zip lines were super fun and took us over gorgeous canyons and waterfalls, with a short scenic hike in between each one. Our 8 and 12 year old girls had a blast! The guides were enthusiastic and very supportive. We felt very safe. Highly recommend this while in Vik!

Amazing time and beautiful scenery - We spent 10 days around the Ring Road, and ZipLine Iceland was one of the highlights of our trip. The zip lines themselves went thru streams and rivers and was really fun, but the walk between the ziplines went thru some extremely beautiful landscapes. Our guides Barbara and Alex were very engaging which made everyone in the group feel very comfortable with the activity

Beautiful place to experience zip-lining for the first time - Nico and Alex made the experience wonderful - especially for a couple of folks who were new to zip-lining. Awesome trip overall. Wish it was longer though as we were having so much fun.

daughter's favorite experience in Iceland - We loooooved the zip line experience! Took my 12-year old daughter and it was the highlight of the trip. There are several ziplines along the tour - you walk a little bit in between them, and the walk itself is also super beautiful. The two staff members helping us were very fun and helpful. Make reservations early *(we almost couldn't get one as the groups are small), wear hiking boots (you will get a bit muddy), and go to the soup company after to warm up :)

Great time - Alex and Alex were great hosts. The rain did not damper the fun. Family loved it. Recommend water proof attire and hiking boots as the ground can be slippery.

If you want to go away from your tick list hunt..... - Very nice tour in the beautiful environment of Vík. My kids and I enjoined the tour very much. I can strongly recommend this tour if you want to go away from your tick list hunt and give your self the experience of nature and excitement.

Must-do in South Iceland - This is one of the most fun activities in Iceland! Sammi and Þráinn were our guides, and they really made the experience. They were fun, yet very aware of safety and looked out for everyone in the group.
The ziplines are located close to Vik in a beautiful canyon. The combination of adrenaline and the stunning nature made this an unforgettable day.
