• 3rd fl, 55-1 Insadong-gil - In this workshop, participants will not only learn the art of beautiful writing but also experience the joy of using a calligraphy brush, creating a lasting memory of their travels—far more meaningful than a smartphone photo. This activity promotes relaxation and offers a glimpse into local Korean culture.

The instructor will explain Hangul, the reasons behind King Sejong’s invention of Korean consonants and vowels, and demonstrate the materials and their usage.

Participants will be introduced to two different styles in Hangul and will have time to practice lines, their names, and any notes they wish to write on their scrolls. This experience will deepen their understanding of Korea.

During this activity, your mind will relax and you may experience local culture in Korea.

I will explain to you about Korean papers, brushes and ink. You can practice by choosing one of two different calligraphy styles and you can also keep your practice papers with you if you want after the experience.

After practicing Hangul that you want to do over and over again, you will be ready to write your message on the scroll. You may take a stamp that I’ll prepare on your scroll if you prefer. I’m sure the Hangul calligraphy scroll will present your joyful memories. I look forward to including our experience in your travel in Seoul as a souvenir.
