- Balikaru - Dive into the heart of Balinese village life with this interactive cooking experience in a village near Mt. Batukaru.
Upon arrival in the quaint mountain village, you are welcomed into the Balinese way of life. Wander through the rice fields, engage with local farmers, and gather fresh herbs directly from the garden. Experience playing the Rindik, a traditional bamboo instrument, before embarking on your culinary adventure. Prepare two types of Jamu, Indonesia’s ancient and healthful herbal drink, and then craft a complete Balinese meal in Paon Bali, our open-air kitchen. Enjoy the delightful process of cooking a diverse array of dishes, including Sate Lilit, grilled on Gerobak, our live bamboo grill, and Lak Lak, a classic Balinese dessert made in a clay pot.
Surrounded by the sounds of nature, enjoy cooking, laughing, and sharing stories with the family. After savoring your homemade lunch, try your hand at planting rice, feeding our cow “Manis,” or exploring the stingless bees and their unique, nutritious honey.
Each moment is authentic and personal, offering a true connection to Bali’s culture, traditions, and the warmth of its people.
