INCREDIBLE INKA TRAIL WITH THE BEST GUIDE, ARMANDO! - I cannot even put into words how truly incredible this 4 day trek was, and all thanks to our wonderful, attentive, kind-hearted & amazingly knowledgeable guide, Armando. He was everything & more that you could wish for from a tour guide & truly took care of us across the 4 days. Not only did we of course hike, we started off the 4 days with the most picturesque bike ride down the mountain. Across the 4 days, we had the chance to zip line, water raft, visit the hot springs (which was perfect after a full day of hiking) & stay at an eco lodge, where we learnt the process of how home made coffee & chocolate is made, had the chance to make our own coffee, tried a variety of traditional Peruvian foods & also local home brewed alcohols. Armando was full of insightful information & gave us a true insight into the culture & traditions of the Inka times. A highlight for myself, my husband & the rest of the group was when Armando carried out a traditional cultural ceremony at the top of a mountain, this was so touching & a beautiful spiritual experience. Armando was as always so attentive, making sure everyone was ok, walked at a moderate pace & waited for everyone to be together if anyone did fall behind. He was encouraging & inspired us all to keep going even when we felt tired when the hiking was tough. His caring nature was evident when we stopped at restaurants for lunch & dinner, saw locals along the way & when we reached our hostels each night as he had a good relationship with each & every one of these individuals, which made us feel safe & looked after. Thank you to Inka Expeditions & Armando for being the most amazing guide!

Best Hiking Experience ever! - Fantastic trip with lots of amazing scenery and great fun. Some of these scenery are only possible by taking the hiking trail. If you take the train or road, you probably won’t see so much. The hiking trails are moderate as per the itinerary and the guide was good and experienced and made regular stops to help us get to our destinations.

Not sure what’s better: the Peruvian jungle or Luis - Luis, our tour guide was the best part of the trip. An Inca man who is knowledgeable and proud to share his vast experiences with us. Great local experience that we couldn’t have otherwise gotten. He made us feel very safe and we had everything we needed at all times.
