Sacred Valley - We will pick you up from your hotel at 6:30 am and head towards the Sacred Valley, passing through charming towns like Chinchero and Ollantaytambo, and enjoying stunning landscapes and snow-capped mountains.
During the journey, you’ll experience various microclimates and reach Abra Málaga (4300 m.a.s.l.), the highest point of our adventure. Our first thrilling activity will be a 3-hour bike descent, visiting the archaeological site of Wamanmarca briefly, and taking in diverse mountain landscapes, microclimates, and tropical jungle. We will then arrive at Santa MarÃa (1,210 m.a.s.l.) for lunch and rest.
In the afternoon, we will embark on a rafting adventure on the Urubamba River, navigating rapids of levels II to III. Afterward, we will return to the lodge for a natural shower and dinner.
Day 02: Santa MarÃa – Santa Teresa – Zipline – Cocalmayo Hot Spring
Santa Teresa District - After breakfast, we will take a 5-hour walk through the tropical jungle, climbing small mountains and ravines, enjoying impressive views of tropical valleys, crossing rivers, and observing local flora, fauna, and medicinal plants. You’ll also see exotic fruits like mango, pineapple, papaya, avocado, and coffee and coca leaf plantations.
We will walk a section of the original Inca trail (1,758 m.a.s.l.), part of the Antisuyo route to the jungle and Machu Picchu, and view the snow-capped Salkantay (6,270 m.a.s.l.). After the walk, we will have lunch in Santa Teresa.
In the afternoon, we will enjoy a zipline activity over the river, followed by a short walk to the Cocalmayo hot springs for relaxation. We will return to Santa Teresa by local transport.
Banos Termales de Cocalmayo - The thermal baths of Santa Teresa are set in a beautiful sub-tropical jungle landscape with an average annual temperature of 21°C. The rainy season runs from November to April, characterized by heavy rains that can cause landslides and roadblocks. The dry season, from May to October, is the best time to visit.
The complex features three large pools with crystal-clear waters ranging from 38°C to 45°C. There are changing rooms for men and women. The medicinal waters are believed to help with skin problems, rheumatism, and joint pain, offering natural hydromassage and relaxation. Nighttime visits are also a memorable experience.
Day 03: Santa Teresa – Llactapata – Hidroelectrica Train Station - Aguas Calientes

We will then walk for 3 more hours along the train tracks (10 km) to the town of Machu Picchu.

After the tour, we will descend for an hour to start the return journey to Hidroelectrica (a 2.5-hour walk) to take transport back to Cusco, arriving around 9:30 pm at the main square.
Optional: It is recommended to buy a return train ticket from Machu Picchu to Ollantaytambo for $80.
Santuario Historico de Machu Picchu - At the mountain’s peak, large stone blocks fit together without mortar to form one of the Inca empire’s most important religious, political, and cultural centers: Machu Picchu. Discovered in 1911 by Hiram Bingham, the site is divided into agricultural and urban sectors, featuring structures like the Temple of the Sun. Machu Picchu is a World Heritage Site and a source of pride for Peru. Built around 1450 and discovered in 1911, its strategic mountain-top location has led to various theories about its purpose, ranging from a mausoleum for Inca Pachacútec to an important administrative and agricultural center.
