The magnificent Columbia Icefield offers a chance to see one of the largest icefields in the Rockies.
At Sunwapta Falls, enjoy the thrill of cascading glacier-fed waters amidst dense alpine forests.
Abraham Lake becomes a frozen spectacle, renowned for its captivating ice bubbles trapped beneath the surface. Although the timing of bubble formation varies annually, January to February is generally the best time for viewing.
- This tour requires a minimum of 6 people to proceed. If the minimum number is not reached, we reserve the right to cancel the tour for that day and will inform travelers the day before departure.
- This is a local bus tour, and you will join the tour with other travelers locally.
- If there are not enough participants for a tour in your selected language, we will contact you to discuss joining a tour in another language.
- Total tour duration includes travel time.
- Please remember to bring your own lunch. (12/1~4/14)

- All pick-up times and locations are fixed. Please carefully review the pick-up detail and choose the location that best suits you. If you have any special requests, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly.
- Due to the unpredictable winter road conditions and weather, the itinerary may be subject to adjustments. We will inform you of any changes to the itinerary the day before the tour.

Excellent day out - Didn’t see many bubbles as the ice was melting at payto lake , a few sharp hills to go up at Abraham lake look out point, which has a good view. William knows his stuff and was very kind and stopped off at the BANFF sight which is on the edge of town (no paths to walk there)

Best Tour of My Life - This was the best tour experience of my life. I had initially taken a tour with this group at the beginning of my trip, celebrating five more years of life after a Covid coma in 2020 almost ended me. The guide was so knowledgeable and encouraging! I made the climb up to Peyto Lake which I didn’t think I could do but our guide kept checking on me and my progress as the rest of the group ascended. I cried a bit when I reached the group, in disbelief I made it, looking at the beautiful view and feeling like this was heaven on earth!
After the tour, I reviewed the company online. The owner responded with a comment and offered a special rate if I were to return and want another tour this year. As it happens, I ended up getting stranded in Calgary for an additional four days bc of cancelled flights due to weather at home. I reached out to the company owner and asked if they had any upcoming tours I might join. He truly went above and beyond and designed a guided tour for myself and a family of four, including two locations I had wanted to see but the weather hadn’t cooperated. He conducted the tour himself, adding so much knowledge to what I had previously learned about the area. It was fun, exciting, educational and for the first time in a long time, I felt truly at peace in my soul. It was a long day, and so worth it! He picked me up and return me to my hotel, planned meal breaks and made sure we were safe and comfortable all day. He encouraged me in so many ways that day! I took 3500 pictures! This tour company gave a day I will never forget and memories (and photos!) I will always cherish! I plan to return this summer and fall and will absolutely and exclusively use this company for my tours! Thank you so much organizing such an amazing and unique trip for me. I will always be grateful!

Wonderful Experience, Fantastic guide - We had a fantastic time! William was knowledgeable about not only the locations we went to but also everything we went past. Due to the weather we had to make some changes to the original itinerary, William provided us with comparable options to choose from. He went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable experience. William took pictures of us so we could enjoy our time and sent them to us at the end of our tour. We were able to see so many beautiful sites that we otherwise wouldn’t have had the opportunity to see, or feel comfortable going to without a guide.

Fantastic Tour Guide – Highly Recommended！ - We had an amazing experience with William! He is an excellent driver, ensuring a smooth and safe trip. He was incredibly attentive, taking care of everyone and making sure we had the best experience. The destinations he chose were beautiful, and he even helped us find the best photo spots. His photography skills were fantastic—our pictures turned out stunning! Every moment was enjoyable, and we truly appreciate his kindness and professionalism. Good. - Last time I made a show myself, this time it was the second time to bring a family together. I still feel as good as ever. In the car everyone can rest comfortably, the car can be easily watched and played, children have fun, get in the car and sleep, suitable for a family size to participate. The guide talks kindly, and I highly recommend everyone to participate.

Amazing winter trip - I have a group of eleven friends to visit Banff in February. We go to Bow Lake. Petra Lake and Abraham lake The frozen bubbles under water is amazing. Our driver Tony Tang is kind and knowledgeable. We enjoy the trip and hope to visit again in summer time

Recommended - Very recommended team👍🏻 looked at a lot of information finally decided to choose this house. Although scared of the cold, but seeing such a beautiful ice lake, a guide also helped us to take a lot of beautiful pictures, I thought everything was really worth it!!

A great scenic sites within Banff, Alberta Canada - Due to challenging driving conditions, exploring nature is never on our list of things to do during winter. Mr. Tony Tang, driver and tour guide of our recent trip, made it possible. Our knowledgeable guide brought us to different scenic spots within Banff National Park safe and sound. Able to enjoy the Rockies without having to worry about traffic is fantastic! The most memorable part of the trip was seeing the ice bubbles at Abraham Lake. I will definitely recommend Tony to my family and friends for their future trips to Banff National Park.

What an awesome Winter day trip was in Banff !! - I have been in Calgary for 30 years. This is the first time my wife and I visited Abraham Lake with friends in extreme cold . Although this lake may not seem deep, it is famous for the countless bubbles under the ice, which is spectacular and breathtaking. On the way to this lake, we travelled through the Rocky Mountains with snow-covered mountains and ridges. The scenery was charming.
Special thanks to this great young man, Mr. Tony Tang, our driver / guide, who professionally provided information about each scenic spot we visited. In addition, his wonderful driving skills allowed us to enjoy ourselves along the way worry free. My wife and I look forward to revisiting as we firmly believe the scenery there in summer time will be much different!
