This is a distinctive day hike adventure for those who enjoy extended hikes, rather than just a brief 30-minute walk to a waterfall and back.
Embark on a 6-hour guided moderate day trek from the heart of Imlil at 1740m to the peak of Talamrout, which majestically overlooks Imlil and its neighboring valleys.
Participants will be picked up from their hotel in Marrakech at 8:30 am. The journey then proceeds towards the High Atlas Mountains, which are conveniently close to Marrakech city. The drive continues towards Imlil.
Starting from the center of Imlil at 1740m, the trek initially ascends the Tizi n’Tamatert pass (2,300m) through the Berber villages of Ait Souka and Tamatert. From the pass, the route leads into a Moroccan pine forest and follows a trail to the summit of Talamrout. Upon reaching the Talamrout summit (2,600m), there is ample time to admire the stunning views of the Imenane Valley, the Berber villages, and the Toubkal peak at 4167m, before beginning the descent back to Imlil. A lunch break is taken at the pass, and the return drive to Marrakech is expected by 4-5pm.
