Unforgettable Jungle Adventure - We had an amazing time on this tour. Elizabeth was fantastic, Manuel was a great driver, and Tony the photographer captured some awesome moments throughout the day. The experience truly felt like a party in the jungle. The waterfalls and natural slides were incredible and so much fun. One of the highlights was the 19 foot jump into the water which was an absolute blast. Everything was well organized and the team made the entire experience enjoyable from start to finish. Highly recommend this tour if you are looking for adventure and a unique experience.

Little hesitant..WELL WORTH IT. - Very friendly, easy communication. On time pick up and drop off. Actual excursion is with another local guide though. The actual tour was very fun, (except for the very slow hike up) which took about 45 minutes because of the mandatory stops on the way up. But once you start down... awesome... do not skip. Well worth it and an extra additional fun stop at the end for coffee and chocolate. Skip the cruise prices and book here!

Great tour, just wish driver was courteous - The tour itself was great!! Our guides were funny and made sure everyone was able to keep up, didn’t rush everyone along. Our shuttle driver was a different story. I was traveling with my 16 yr old, high functioning autistic son. He is overweight but enjoys hikes. Our driver walked so fast to the bus I struggled to keep up myself. Once we got to the location he continued to rush us along. After the excursion, even though we had hours before our ship would leave, he rushed us while eating and waiting to get pictures. He belittled my son when he took off his rented water shoes because his feet hurt, not knowing the driver had our shoes in the bus.

Research this tour so that you know what to expect. - Sorry in advance for the long review… I’m sure that this would be a super fun excursion if two cruise ships did not arrive in Amber Cove at the same time. Sadly, our princess ship arrived at the same time as a carnival ship, and there were literally thousands of people exiting the cruise ships at same time which created pandemonium at the Amber Cove port. We were not given detailed instructions on where to find the van for transportation, and we had to ask a couple of local people who instructed us to exit by the clock tower, and then walk to the end of the taxi and buses area. Once we got there, we had to ask someone else who told us to turn left, and then we walked to, abd along a line of private tour buses until we eventually found the tour company we were looking for. After sitting in their air conditioned bus for approximately 25 minutes, we were told to get up and they moved us to another bus where we sat for another 40 minutes as they waited for other people who had signed up for the tour to get on the bus. Then, it was an approximate 30 minute drive to where we would begin the seven waterfall tour. Many buses showed up at this point at same time, and again, it was pandemonium. We had to wait in line to get a life vest and helmet, and then we had to wait in line before starting because there were literally hundreds, and hundreds of people trying to do this tour at the same time. We were not given details regarding a fairly lengthy, uphill hike in which we had to stop approximately every few minutes because there were hundreds of people in front of us. What would probably have been a 20 minute hike without all those people, ended up taking two hours to reach the fun point. We arrived at a pinch point where you have to climb down a very steep ladder, and get into a stream that runs between two gigantic rock formations. You walk through the stream until you find a natural waterslide but again, with hundreds of people doing the tour at the same time, we would stand in the stream sometimes for 20 minutes without moving. Once everybody got through the short natural waterslide, you hiked a bit further, in the stream, until you come to the place where you jump off into a deep pool. The jump was 18 feet, and many people were scared, and some took a natural slide down, and others had to climb down another very steep ladder. None of this was well documented when we research this tour and I’m sure that with all levels of ability, many people would not be able to do the hike up, or the climb down those ladders. We never saw seven waterfalls, and we waited in line for much of the afternoon to experience two short, natural slides and one spot where you jump off into a deep pool of water. You then hike back, which only takes about 20 minutes and there’s a buffet waiting if you feel like eating some local cuisine. We decided to skip the food because by then, it was 2:30 and we were worried about missing the ship. Again, if one cruise ship pulled in at a time, it’s probably a pretty fun tour. We feel that the description needs to be well documented that it’s an uphill hike, and there are steep ladders to climb down. Our guide, Tony, was fantastic and very supportive throughout the afternoon. Ended up arriving back at the ship at 3:30 which was plenty early, but we did worry along the trail throughout the afternoon that we would be stuck among thousands of people and the ship would leave without us!
