This captivating adventure reaches its peak at the impressive 1,450-meter Snæfellsjökull volcano glacier, famously featured in the novel “Journey to the Center of the Earth.”
The tour begins with a journey through a 6 km underwater tunnel across Hvalfjörður, leading to charming small towns and fishing villages. Experience breathtaking bird cliffs by the sea and stunning beaches. On the northern side, the tour includes a stop at the scenic, church-shaped Kirkjufell mountain, accompanied by a charming waterfall across the road. At Djúpalónssandur beach (access may be restricted in winter), participants can test their strength with the Stones of Trial.
The entire tour of the Snæfellsnes peninsula encircles the Snæfellsjökull glacier volcano, offering numerous opportunities to admire it from various stops. Please note: the tour does not include a visit to the glacier itself.
