Flexible & Above & Beyond customer service - The weather didn’t cooperate for us but Heimir went above and beyond with detailed communication and offered alternatives. I am sorry we are missing the experience because the customer service for not being able to go is so fantastic, the experience itself must be top notch. If we ever come back to Iceland, I will be rebooking with these folks!

THIS IS THE TRIP YOU WANT - Seeing someone who genuinely cares for you and want you to have the best experience possible warms my heart. Heimir did way more then it is expected, he was running around with a camera, literally asking us to pose a little more so we can have these beautiful shots! We got lucky with the weather conditions, that’s true, but as for someone who is coming back to Iceland every year, I feel lucky that I have finally found such a brilliant and passionate tour guide :) Don’t think twice, you will not regret choosing this trip.

Going that little bit further to provide a wonderful experience - I can’t speak highly enough about this excursion. Obviously it’s a lottery whether you will actually see the NL’s but Heimir went over and beyond to give us an experience that will stay in the memory for a long, long, time. We had booked for the Wednesday, however Heimir messaged Tuesday morning to see if we could make that evening. The forecast for Weds was poor, but he thought there was a good chance of seeing the NL’s on Tuesday. Fortunately we could make the change - it was partially cloudy but Heimir‘s knowledge and persistence meant we were treated to an amazing celestial light show! On top of this the hot drinks and snacks were a great addition, as was the link shared the next day to all the professionally taken photos he’d taken. Thoroughly recommended and thanks again for going that extra bit further to provide a wonderful experience.

The best choice for a trip to Iceland - The best decision you can make when visiting Iceland is taking a northern lights tour with Ultimate Iceland Aurora Experts. Heimir communicated with us throughout the day, suggested pick up locations that were easier for us to get to, and truly chased the northern lights to get us the best possible experience. You can tell he’s so passionate about what he does, committed to making it the best possible experience for his guests. When we asked about how he got started in this, he said he saw so many companies just doing this badly, tour guides parking and locking people out of the bus and heading back at a set time even if the lights weren’t yet peaking, not really caring about whether people got the best out of this once in a lifetime experience. He’s committed to the opposite- tracking the forecast and getting you to the best spot, chasing down the best experience, photographing everyone and pointing out to us when it was moving or changing so we could track it. Cherry on top was Icelandic snacks and hot chocolate, . truly 10/10 experience and I’ll recommend Heimir and his company to everyone I know looking for a truly stand out northern lights experience.

Amazing night - Wasn't sure we would get to see the northern lights due weather conditions. We had a few nights in Reykjavik and the tour worked with us to take us on the next good night for veiwing if we were still available. And what a fabulous night it was. The northern lights were spectacular. Heimir, our guide, found the perfect spot to see them. I took so many photos. Heimir took photos of each of us with the northern lights and sent them to remind us of this spectacular event. He had hot chocolate, tea and snacks for us to enjoy. The experience was amazing.

BEST Iceland Aurora guide! - Heimir was transparent in communications, responsive and on time for pick up. So incredibly knowledgeable about the aurora borealis and was more educator than tour guide- although he was a fantastic host with hot chocolate and snacks. So dedicated to having our group see the lights on what appeared to be a low chance night for viewing. It was a long night and we are grateful that he stuck it out with our group instead of calling it a night at the estimated “end time.” Thank you so much!!!

Amazing time with our passionate guide! - We had a great time with Heimir, who is super passionate and knowledgeable about auroras, and his enthusiasm and energy really made the tour really fun on top of seeing beautiful auroras. He answered our questions and gave us some great advice for future aurora hunting. He found the best possible places for us see them, places with low light pollution and possible areas to view. We went when there was heavy snow and not everywhere was plowed, so finding a safe place to park and without trespassing in the dark, I'm happy to have a guide take care of all of that for us. Heimir took fantastic photos which we will cherish forever, and also helped us take our own photos with our phones which became a fun challenge, taking a great photo of the aurora. We were given traditional Icelandic snacks including some festive season ones which were delicious. And even hot chocolate, perfect for the freezing temperatures we had that night. Aurora Experts are a little pricier than the average northern lights tours but I think they were worth the expense.

Epic Northern Lights Excursion - Where should I begin??? EVERYTHING was perfect - the weather as the skies were clear; the small group tour vs the large group buses; our knowledgeable guide; serene desolate location where Lady Aurora danced for us; the copious amounts of snacks; and the beautiful photos we received post adventure! I enjoyed ALL of it!

Disappointed in customer service - While we were excited to go, I didn’t get any responses to my tour operator chats for days. I had one daughter stuck due to Heathrow fire so wanted to move her reservation with no reply for days. Then they canceled due to clouds anyway. Since they offer a rebook, we expected any night in the next week. We called when no response to chat for 2 days. They said the would respond in an hour. Then they said they were full so no rebook option. Only option was refund in a few weeks. We went to another tour operator - East west who were amazing.
