Day 1: Reykjavík – Þórsmörk
Southcoast Adventure - Begin the day by journeying into Þórsmörk in a Super Jeep, with picturesque stops along the way. The trip includes a visit to the Eyjafjalljökull Volcano, pausing at the Gígjökull outlet glaciers that extend from the Glacier. Following this, travel towards the mountain hut in Húsadalur, taking time to relax and enjoy meals amidst three of Iceland’s most stunning Glaciers.
After visiting Gígjökul, venture further into the Þórsmörk valley. A stop at Steinholt offers an excellent opportunity for a brief hike in the breathtaking landscape. Continue on to Húsadalur, where the night will be spent. A BBQ dinner and tranquility await!
Day 2: Þórsmörk – Þórsmörk
Valahnúkur - On the second day, delve deeper into Þórsmörk right after breakfast. Enjoy a drive and/or hike through the stunning scenery to discover the essence of the Valley of Thor.
Day 3: Þórsmörk – Golden Circle – Reykjavík
Golden Circle Route - The Classic Golden Circle is one of Iceland’s most treasured attractions. Witness the Gullfoss waterfall, a 31-meter high cascade, as it plunges into a narrow gorge. Experience the geothermal spray from Strokkur, a gushing hot spring in the Geysir area, and take a stroll through Þingvellir National Park, where the tectonic plates have drifted apart and Vikings once roamed!
