A memory we will never forget! - Our day hike tour with Ana exceeded our expectations (which were already so high)! We lucked out with the weather as the visibility was really clear and the ground was dry. The landscapes were stunning and we were still able to see some wildflowers and blueberries even though the season is ending. We fit in one very rigorous hike up Valahnúkur and down around surrounding trails, then two shorter walks nearby to see glaciers and waterfalls. If you are considering booking this trip, we would recommend that you have some level of aerobic fitness and good balance, and also that you aren't afraid of heights. Ana was awesome and had many wonderful stories to tell. Thank you Midgard, we hope to visit you again someday soon.

Beautiful trip Superjeep with hike to Thorsmork - Had a wonderful tour with a superjeep in Thorsmork including a hike of about 7 km. Everything was fine at Midgard. You were assigned a symbol for your group (we were group Vulcano) and soon after we set off with our Guide and driver Marjolein, who also happened to be a Dutchman who has lived in Iceland for 30 years. Nice ride inland. Eventually we took action ourselves and started the hike. Was doable although I would not recommend this hike for people with a fear of heights. Beautiful hike. Beautiful area. Nice lunch spot in the middle of nowhere. Packed lunches ordered from Midgard and these were surprisingly put together. Very tasty. Our Guide knew not only about the landscape but also about the various bushes and edible species of blueberries. After returning we finished with a drink and also used dinner at Midgard Base camp. All in all, Midgard did his business well and we enjoyed this day! Thanks also to our Guide Marjoram!

Lovely gentle hike - Sven was a good, knowledgeable guide and the scenery was lovely. We were extremely lucky to have a warm, clear day for our 10km hike.

Amazing Thorsmork adventure - The tour was amazing. Great views and really proffesional guide, Eva. She took us to different places full of stories from her childhood- it was truely special.

Incredible and indescribable views with memories for a lifetime! - At Midgard Adventures, it is clear to me that they love what they do. From booking to our return to base, the process was seamless. The staff was quick to respond to my inquiries and their facility is very inviting. Our guide Sven was not only highly capable but entertaining and informative with stories to tell! The hike itself was moderately challenging. However, it is not one for the faint of heart as the trail includes some narrow ridges and steep moraines. The effort yields incredible rewards with breathtaking views of the Thorsmork Valley. This was the highlight of our amazing Iceland trip and if we are ever lucky enough to return, we will definitely be booking an adventure with Midgard!

Best Day in Iceland! - Absolutely incredible experience! We hiked about 6 miles up and around a mountain and we got amazing views even though the weather wasn't perfect. The trail was a little rough so I was really happy to have the guide. This tour was the highlight of my trip to Iceland!

A good walk not spoiled - The hike was very enjoyable; we lucked out with the weather, Al was a pleasant guide, and the scenery was amazing. The hike was a good workout, but not too strenuous for anyone in the group. Pro tip: don't get the lunch, which is expensive for what you get. We didn't get to eat it until we got back to the jeep, around 3:00. Instead, bring snacks to eat on the trail, and have dinner at Midgard Basecamp after the hike.

Our favourite day in Iceland - This tour was fantastic, one of our absolute highlights in Iceland. Our guide, Al was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and was highly accommodating to the different hiking abilities within the group. He made the whole experience extremely relaxed and enjoyable and taught us so much about Iceland that made the rest of our trip even more enjoyable. Would highly recommend the Thorsmork hike over the super keep tour as we were able to explore the beautiful area on foot but still had the experience of being in the Jeep and doing the river crossings. Would also highly recommend staying at Midgard Basecamp before/ after the tour, it was our favourite accomodation in Iceland and was a fantastic place to relax after a long day of hiking. Overall great experience and couldn’t recommend it enough.
