- Mosque El Mina Masjid - El Mina Mosque, also known as Al Mina Mosque or El Mina Masjid, is a notable and visually impressive mosque situated in the heart of Hurghada, Egypt. It is recognized as the largest mosque in the Red Sea Governorate and serves as a major religious center for the local Muslim community.
History & Architecture
The mosque’s modern structure was completed in 2012, replacing an older building initially constructed in 1968.
It spans a large area of approximately 8,000 m² and can accommodate thousands of worshippers.
El Mina is constructed with pure white marble and features traditional Islamic architectural design, including ornate domes, intricate geometric patterns, and elaborate carvings.

Inside, the prayer hall is beautifully decorated with chandeliers, decorative arches, carved walls, and a large central dome approximately 25 meters high.
