Exceptional Tour with Ahmed Waheeb – Highly Recommended! - We had the absolute pleasure of spending an unforgettable day with Ahmed Waheeb as our tour guide, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience! From the early start at 5 AM to wrapping up around 9:30 PM, Ahmed went above and beyond to ensure we had a fantastic time.
The itinerary was packed with incredible sights and experiences—starting with a tour of Bab al-Futuh, then visiting the Egyptian Museum, enjoying a boat ride on the Nile, exploring a papyrus factory, seeing the awe-inspiring pyramids, going on a camel ride, marveling at the Sphinx, and finally ending the day with entertainment on a Nile cruise.
Ahmed’s knowledge, friendliness, and passion for what he does truly made the day special. He was incredibly personable, constantly checking in with us to make sure we were enjoying ourselves and encouraging honest feedback. His enthusiasm and attention to detail made all the difference, and we felt well taken care of the entire time.
If you’re looking for an exceptional tour guide in Egypt, I cannot recommend Ahmed enough. This was an experience we’ll remember forever!

Amazing trip but exhausting. - Very easy booking online, even for an ancient person like me. Trip was wonderful, guide amazing. Surpringly good lunch at nice restaurant. Saw more than we imagined. Only problem and doubt anyone’s fault was our return flight not until 11.10pm. All tours appear to finish 6pm. We did fill in time with a few hours going on evening Nile cruise with buffet dinner and show but for anyone watching their money this is a substantial extra cost and still a few hours to wait at airport. Long day, up 3 am, collected 4 am and returned to hotel after 2am next day.Advice is to check return flight time.

Unforgettable experience - Had a full fantastic day in Cairo with the team at FTS TRAVEL! One day up and down to Cairo from Hurghada by plane. Small group of 8 people and 1 child of 5.
Guide Sherif was a very nice guy, arranged everything and knew how to tell super nice about everything of Egyptian antiquity.
Driver Zenetti drove super skilfully through the mega heavy traffic of Cairo. Real respect for this man. Lovely little van, never felt unsafe for a moment. So great.
We were asked by whatsapp if we wanted a photographer for €15 pp. Oh, that was great. Omar took cool pictures of us all the time. Ideal that you stand together on something. Highly recommended! Very sweet and subdued boy.
Staff FTS is top notch. Everything is top arranged and if there is an issue, they will arrange it for you. For example, we didn't have tickets to enter the pyramid, but Sherif just arranged it. So happy about that.
The day is early to late. 3:20 pickup. 4:45 flight to Cairo. 6:40 coffee after pickup Cairo. 7:20 old market visit. 8:00 Nile cruise on boat. 8:45 museum to see mask Tutankhamun. 12:00 papyrus shop. 13:00 lunch. 14:15 pyramid visit. 15:00 camel ride. 16:15 sphinx visit. 17:00 perfume shop. 18:00 towards airport 21:00 flight back. 23:00 at hotel.
We were very tired afterwards but it was a day to remember! We definitely recommend this.

Day trip cairo by plane. Sightseeing ancient cairo,Egyptian museum, pyramids, on a camel to the sphinx, - The tour itself was very successful thanks to our guide, Achmed Hassan. The guide has a lot of knowledge about ancient Egypt and talks passionately about it. Visit old Cairo, museum, pyramids, sphinx, camel ride, the Nile.. it was great.
Only transfer from resort to airport was a lot of ambiguity with... having to chase a lot.
Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Fantastic Day in Cairo - A Fantastc Trip - Old Cairo , nile boat ride , the Egypt Museum , Pyramids ! all with an excellent and thoughtful guide Ahmed Wahba and driver . they were five star service !
however be warned your flight tickets may be sent only 2 hours before your flight we had no cell service so hadnt recieved them, and we had a very late flight back booked too.
Ahmed helped book us a buffet river cruse with entertainment that was fab and killed a good few hours we would have been sat around in an airport.

trip to the pyramids - The trip to Ciro was amazing and out tour guide Ahmed waheeb and
driver znaty were faultless. So much information given and entertained us with his vast knowledge of Ancient Egypt all day.
The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is due to the fact that we didn't receive our plane details till we had already left the hotel which lead to a stressful time checking in at the airport . We were not also made aware that we were booked on a late flight back which ment 5hours at the airport. Shout out to Ahmed though who booked us on an evening Nile boat cruse so we then only had 2 hours at the airport. All in all a great day but would have been improved if we had all the relevance info much sooner.

Light and Shadow - In itself a nice day trip if not so much would go wrong. We only learned 4.5 hours before departure, so 9:30 p.m., that we were being fetched at 2 a.m. We didn't have any plane tickets and so they wouldn't let us into the airport at first. But we weren't just alone. The excursion package and the tour guide were very good. Lunch not so special. We also did not know at all when our return flight left and again did not get a plane ticket, this only found out through other participants. Unfortunately, the return flight only left Cairo at 11:35 p.m., so we were only back at the hotel at 1 a.m. So we were on our way 23h. We would have been quicker with a trip by bus. Had specially taken a trip with flight, which had to be stated with 16 h and were very disappointed.

Unique..but with pitfalls - The journey from Hurghada to Cairo worked smoothly. Unfortunately, as described in other reviews, we only received the plane tickets and the departure information (very late in the evening) shortly before.
The tour guide (Ahmed 1, as he calls himself) was likeable, funny and open-minded. He told us a lot about the traditions and life in Egypt. He also showed us the old town, which was actually not included in the offer and we liked it.
The pyramids were planned to be completed, so we had lunch before that. This restaurant was unfortunately completely crowded when we arrived and did not offer a quiet and pleasant atmosphere. We had to wait for a free seat, while the loud noise and the hustle and bustle in the locality made the food not exactly enjoyable.
The stay itself at the pyramids was unique and indescribably beautiful. After that the group was pretty exhausted as we had all been on our feet since 3am. Beforehand, the tour guide inquired about desired activities for the pyramids. Some decided to visit a shopping mall and others wanted to go back to the airport. The tour guide assured us that this was no problem and everyone ended up in their desired location. After the pyramids, however, we were taken first to a shop with oils and then to a shop with spices. The stays there took an incredible amount of time. After the last visit from the spice shop we drove around 8 pm!! just without any announcement to a shopping center. Here we had to do about 1.5 hours until we finally went to the airport.
Overall a nice visit to Cairo, but unfortunately it was unnecessarily lengthened by many unannounced stops..

Viator customer service is worse than useless. - Viator's customer service is appalling. No one turned up to collect us for the tour so we didn't go. Viator and the tour operator were both useless and didn't seem to care at all. Very poor communication and the worst service I have ever known. Viator are useless if something goes wrong. They refuse to accept any responsibility once they have your money. Just awful!
