You will be collected from your Darwin accommodation & taken on a captivating evening tour of the beautiful Fogg Dam Reserve. This NT National Park is one of the few places in the world allowing you to take a leisurely drive through the abundant wetlands full of birdlife and nature. Watch the colours of the landscape change while the sunsets.

Homeward bound we visit an iconic NT pub, The World Famous Humpty Doo Hotel. Here, you may savour a leisurely meal & refreshments from a local menu offering Barramundi, Buffalo and Crocodile. Sit back & soak in the atmosphere of a genuine ‘Territorian’ pub experience.

We return to Darwin 9 pm or to the Darwin Airport 9:30pm.

Fun and the best trip - We had a fantastic trip to Fogg Dam and Humpty Doo Hotel. Our trip began with us being picked up and we were all introduced to each other. The dinner was scrumptious and very big ( I had 24 garlic prawns). Thanks Geoff for the beautiful pictures. When I booked the trip Jane, rang and spoke to me about the level of walking involved on the trip ( and she put a note in Geofd's note for the day for my sister). It was a fun trip and we would happily travel with Geoff any day.

Wonderful insight into the natural world at the Top End. - Fabulous tour showcasing NT nature, history and culture, full of variety and tailored to the interests of the group. The dam is beautiful with many wetland and other birds, wallabies (oh yes, and crocs, too). Geoff has a keen eye and encyclopaedic knowledge. He provided binoculars for everyone and took amazing photos on our behalf.

Fogg Dam Memories - Did the Fogg Dam Tour with Geoff from Lookabout Tours and thoroughly enjoy the afternoon/evening whilst in Darwin. Very relaxing and Geoff was full of Knowlege of the Darwin area. Meal at Humpty Doo Hotel was gigantic and delicious.

Amazing Tour!! - Geoff was a phenomenal guide during our trip to Fogg Dam and Humpty Doo Hotel. He tailored the trip to our interests, and had the answers to all our questions. His enthusiasm for wildlife, and stories about the local area made the tour engaging for the whole time. Perfect tour for animal lovers of any age. We will definitely use Geoff for future tours when we return to Darwin!

Friendly and Informative - The guide was well informed and very pleasant, and the birds at the dam were great! So was sunset. A good dinner at Humpty Doo although we waited for ages for it to be served. Not the tour’s fault though!!

Get a real taste of Territory nature - You have to do this! Geoff was the best tour guide we had in the NT. Full of knowledge and willing to follow our own interests as we looked around. Steak at Humpty Doo was huge and delicious! Woudl tour with Geoff again, in a flash

Very enjoyable - Geoff was a fantastic tour and very entertaining guide. Geoff went out his way showcase other points of interest including the magnetic termite mounds. This was a small group tour in an extremely comfortable vehicle. It was good to go at

Excellent Bird & Photography Tour not to be missed - I took this evening tour of Fogg Dam with Geoff on Monday 17 June 2024 - and I’ll say straight up it was worth every cent! I had visited Fogg Dam two years ago, but this time I wanted a better insight into the flora, fauna & history of Darwin & surrounding area. You can only get that from a dedicated local. Tour leader Geoff’s knowledge & experience in these areas is exceptional. His friendliness & clear explanations were well received by myself & the 4 other participants from NZ & the USA. Having dinner at the Humpty Doo Hotel capped the evening off splendidly. Loads of birds & lots of photographic opportunities …. don’t miss it!

Beautiful evening wetlands trip - Great tour, Geoff our tour guide was very knowledgeable. The wetlands is beautiful at sunset- lots of bird species and Geoff took some great photos which he sent to us the next day.we also stopped on the way to look at magnetic termite mounds which were fascinating. Enjoyable trip.
