Departure from the city of Salta to the province of Jujuy, exploring the villages of Quebrada de Humahuaca, Purmamarca, Uquia, and Huacalera, all the way to Humahuaca. From there, travel 20 km on provincial road No. 133 to reach Iruya. Accommodation is not included.

Upon leaving Humahuaca, the road traverses dry riverbeds, making it impassable during the rainy season from December to March. The rest of the route is elevated, winding, and gravelly. Iruya is a town with narrow, steep streets that are carefully paved to prevent soil erosion. Its architecture showcases its pre-Columbian origins, holding significant cultural and historical value. Surrounded by a stunning landscape and steeped in history, Iruya maintains the essence of an ancient culture, evident in its traditional celebrations like the Pachamama in August and the patron saint festivities in early October.

The following day, return to Humahuaca, Tilcara, Purmamarca, and finally back to Salta City.
