According to Cham legend, a dragon laid an egg on Non Nuoc beach, which hatched into a beautiful girl. The eggshell broke into five pieces, forming the five mountains we see today. Named by Emperor Minh Mang in 1825, each mountain represents one of the five elements of Eastern philosophy: metal, water, fire, wood, and earth. The Marble Mountains are known for their majestic peaks, caves, and temples.
