Xidi offers convenient transportation. Over 300 ancient dwellings from the Ming and Qing dynasties are found in Xidi, with 124 well-preserved, earning it the nickname “Peach Blossom Spring.” The architectural carvings, crafted in the Hui style of brick, stone, and wood, are masterfully created, with intricate patterns and branches that appear to break with a pinch. The area is a favorite for art students sketching, and it’s also a popular spot for photography enthusiasts.
