Jade was a great tour... - Jade was a great tour guide. After spending 2 weeks in China, we had already thought we had eaten all the Chinese food we could possibly find, but Jade showed us some new spots. We started out at a nice restaurant with some of my favorite food from the whole trip. We then walking around Shanghai to find some other local spots that had equally delicious food and beer.

Awesome Food Tour with Jim - This was the highlight of our trip to China! Jim was an exceptional tour guide. Not only did he choose fantastic food spots for our stops, but he also provided us with a deeper understanding of the city and its culture. If you're planning a trip to Shanghai, I highly recommend booking this tour. You won't be disappointed!

Come with an appetite and pace yourself! - It was a pleasure to walk through the French concession at night and sample the available food. Some of the venues were very good, like the Michelin rated shop where we enjoyed peanut noodles and a soup. Others were more pedestrian like the fruit and vegetable vendor we visited. It was all very local which is what I wanted it to be. There were several dumpling shops, a barbecue shop, and a venue selling local craft beers. After sampling a couple, I select a cider. At the fruit stand we got wax berries and mango which provided a refreshing reset for the palate before the final stretch. The wax berries were something new for me which were very good. I thought I was pacing myself but really couldn't eat much at the final dim sum spot where Kurt ordered another wonton soup and a Xiao Long dumpling that was pan fired rather than steamed. I don't remember what Kurt told me they were called but they were delicious and full of juice, just like the steamed ones. I boxed what we didn't eat and had them at my hotel for breakfast the following morning! This was a fun tour and it was great talking to Kurt. I didn't realize it was a solo tour and would have enjoyed a few more people since I was traveling by myself. If you're into food but are, perhaps, a little wary of what to order or simple want someone to select some of the best of Shanghai, I highly recommend this tour.

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟great tour! - I had a fantastic time on the recent Shanghai tour led by Jim. He was an excellent guide, sharing lots of interesting facts about the city and answering all our questions with ease. Jim took us to some great local food spots and a brewery, places we wouldn’t have found on our own. The food was delicious, and Shanghai’s vibrant energy really came through. Jim did a wonderful job showcasing the city, and I’d highly recommend this tour.
