Highly recommended! - Great experience, loads of whales (amazing!), well organized, friendly staff (accomodating a last min change request due to weather). Nice touch with cinnamon buns and hot chocolate. Husavik overall was the highlight of pur trip.

Rough ride, but great crew! - While I didn’t have a 5 star experience because of seasickness, the crew did a wonderful job! Our guide was thorough and funny and our captain did a great job at getting us close to the whales. It was a very cold day and rained almost the entire trip. Not only did the crew provide us with warm overalls, but came around with rain jackets later. I was not expecting the bay to be as rough as it was, so prepare for that (even if you’ve never been seasick before). Overall, the company did a very nice job.

Excellent Tour - We had a wonderful whale watching cruise with North Sailing! They called when we were on the way to make sure we knew where to go and told us where to park. The whole experience was well done. The commentary was very interesting too. We were lucky with beautiful weather and spent time watching a couple of humpback whales. Enjoyed the hot chocolate and cinnamon buns on the way back. All in all a wonderful day!

Fantastic tour - Very friendly and competent crew. The boat was full but not crowded. We felt safe and in good hands and it was a pleasant atmosphere. We had caught a sunny day. But it can also get very cold in the fog, which is why gloves and hats should be included. On board we received overalls. There was from the super guide:in lots of interesting information about seabirds and marine animals. Our highlight was the sighting of several whales and groups of dolphins as well as the seabirds that accompanied the boat at times. Recommended!

Whale safari from Husavik - Laura is a great guide, not only very knowledgeable, but also very enthusiastic. During the three hours we saw both whales and dolphins and we also got a lot of information about the Arctic birds like the puffin. Apart from the guidance, a well-groomed trip, with warm, waterproof overalls and a nice cup of hot chocolate.

Fascinating whale watching - We were able to experience an incredibly beautiful and fascinating tour.
We booked the original whale watching tour from Husavik. The voyage took place on a traditional oak ship. We all got a jumpsuit at the beginning that kept us warm and dry, after a short introduction by the crew and information about the tour's process we started. After about 20 minutes we saw the first humpback whale - incredible and beautiful. Overall, we were lucky enough to see five different humpback whales. But we could also observe puffins and other seabirds. There was plenty of time for everyone to watch, film or photograph the animals in peace. The tour was extremely beautiful and informative. During the cruise and whale watching, our guide explained interesting and interesting facts about the whales, marine and coastal inhabitants of the region. On the way back to Husavik, everyone had hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls. We can only recommend the trip with North Sailing to anyone. It was a very successful mix between getting close enough to the whales and at the same time respecting them and their privacy.
An unforgettable, beautiful tour with many great impressions - full score!

Superb excursion - After boarding, a guide (everything is in English) explains the life of the whales, behavior, etc...
Once on the scene, just be patient and the magic happens.
On average in 20 minutes, we arrive at the area where the whales appear.
Lots of tour boats on the area, but it rarely bothers, it can even redirect the whales to you.
The ballet begins, we take full eyes, a rare and moving spectacle to see.
Hot chocolate and cinnamon rolls offered at the end of the excursion.
I recommend.

Great experience, well organised and… we were lucky with plenty of whales… - Great tour. Nice staff that does a lot to make you comfortable and informed throughout then trip. Of course you never know if and what you will be able to see when you book the whale watching trip… but the company is experienced and knows where to go AND respects these beautiful animals. 🙌🏽

Great crew with slow and cumbersome boat. - The weather was bright with light wind. Waves were clearly noticeable. Wave height about 80 to 100 cm, doesn't sound much, but was clearly noticeable. Anyone who has problems with sea conditions should prepare well. However, the impact on the boat, the Nattfari, was not quite as strong as on smaller boats. A lot has been explained, including current data and figures. Questions could always be asked and informed. Finally, we had cocoa and a pastry. The explanations were in easy to understand English. The trip took about 3 hours, with an hour of waiting on site. The animals usually appear in 10 minutes rhythm and catch their breath. In summary, due to the size of the boat, we were always the last ones at the spot and mostly further away than the other small boats. Whether you need to get that close to the animals, well. At least with normal mobile phones you can save yourself the recording. You need very good camera equipment on this boat with a lot of tele (zoom) and light intensity should be to have short shutter speeds. Whether you see animals always depends on the conditions, is just nature that is also pointed out on the boat. Years ago, we had been lucky in Húsavík, although even those responsible were out of their minds. It was mid-August then. This trip was at the end of July. If I would book the trip again, it would be on a smaller ship. The hose messenger, who are really very brisk, should book only the one who has no back problems. I could well imagine that it depends very much on where you sit. But I can't judge for sure myself. What I also noticed, when booking there was talk of a sailboat, there is not a single sailor going out there. They are either all old fishing boats or a modern small boat as well as the dinghies. Basically, there is much to be said for Húsavík. I would recommend it but you have to be aware of the pros and cons.

Horrible experience - Horrible experience, the ship didn’t work in the sea and trapped us more than 2 hours, and no further action or other help services offered.
