Seeing the humpback... - Seeing the humpback whales up close, and having a knowledgeable guide. The hot chocolate and cinnamon roll was a nice touch at the end of the tour :)

Quietly watching 5 whales, fantastic! - My daughter and I book the eco-friendly silent ship. We saw 5 humpback whales. One close by the ship and swiming underneath the ship. Fantastic!

Great experience, only made better by the electric / carbon neutral aspect - Believe the hype and enjoy the ride. The silent board really does add to the experience, not only because it is less stressful to the whales but also because it is more relaxing to the passengers. The knowledge that you are carbon neutral when experiencing nature at its best is also a very valuable benefit. Compared to other places where I’ve gone whale watching, I’d argue the Bay is probably a bit choppier and the whales surface for a little shorter time but the crew is excellent and spotting them and approaching them in a respectful and thoughtful manner, and ensures that everyone has a shot at witnessing the moment. The guides are passionate and knowledgeable and they really invest in making sure that people have a great time. Practical considerations: - you’re given special overalls so you stay warm. There is a considerable difference in temperature between shore and sea and the overalls are very welcome - not specific to this provider but I would not recommend for very young kids, especially kids prone to motion sickness - if you are prone to motion sickness, sit towards the back, it won’t move as you will still see perfectly

Amazing, Outstanding, Terrific, Phenomenal! - It was an amazing experience! We saw a couple humpback whales, minke whales, puffins, and white beaked dolphins. Although It was really cold, the one piece suit that we wore was very warm. Unfortunately it was also really wavy so a lot of people got sick. (I didn’t though) The guide was awesome! She was very knowledgeable and humorous. Overall it was a great experience and would definitely do it again when I come back. 😁

Don’t miss it!!!!! - We. Managed to admire a whole breaching so that was amazing, we were lucky enough to also spot white beaked dolphins passing by. Headed to the puffin island while sailing and this was also magic!!!! To particularly note the crew kindness and above all the thorough details provided by the guide (a British young lady- sorry I missed the name) extremely knowledgeable, passionate and a bold Sailor indeed. Thank you!!!!!

Shame electric boat out of action - The electric boat was unavailable so we took this one. Very rocky ride despite calmish seas. Not very informative and one or two sightings. Felt overcrowded

bad weather - The weather was terrible, our whale watching trip was cancelled, so we left after a short time. But the town itself can be nice during better weather conditions.

Bad experience - Well organized tour there is no doubt with supply of thermal suits and electric boat but who has seen the whales? I was told that the tour in Husavik is the top for whale watching. We saw 2/3 puffs at 300/400 meters away some silhouette that seemed to be of very small whales and some puffins. I have to think that the photos drl finger are photomontages!!! Money wasted, maybe others of you were lucky but we just froze!
