Observing local women washing clothes in the river as their children play nearby, is where your journey to the Maya Temple begins, via the quaint hand-operated ferry that has transported countless visitors to and from this serene destination. Once there, you’ll leave your horse and proceed to Xunantunich on the other riverbank.
