Eat what you Catch - You can’t beat Meds and Jeff for providing an exciting adventure on the water in this beautiful place. All five of us caught fish. It was also lobster season, so my adult sons were able to spear two lobsters while snorkeling. Then we headed to an island and enjoyed a delicious ceviche, curry fish and roasted fish, along with the two grilled lobsters.
I don’t think we could have asked for a better time or experience.

If you love fishing, snorkeling and fresh seafood this is your tour! - This was a tour I will not soon forget! Theodore and his uncle skippered and guided this tour for us, while Medz, Theodore's brother skippered another boat. The ride out to the part of the ocean we fished at was rather choppy, so if you get seasick, make sure to bring what you need for that (Dramamine, sea bands, etc) Upon arrival to the location, we watched them catch the bait fish which was a fun experience in itself. After that the guides taught us the skills required to catch fish at different depths. We tried a few different locations to catch enough fish to feed our group. Theodore and Medz both dove for fresh Conch and Medz spear fished some big snapper as well. We caught barracuda, and snapper along with others. We were able to snorkel as well during this trip which was a nice respite after being on the boat for awhile. It's a beautiful other world under the water! The island itself is unforgettable and the fresh seafood recipes the guides cooked were delicious. It doesn't get any fresher than this! Even the sting rays and nurse sharks came to feast on the scraps thrown in the water. And there was a friendly parrot on the island to boot!

A unique experience - Everything needed for a great day is provided -- a boat with a captain and guide who know where to go and what to do, fishing gear, bait (obtained during the trip) and a private island where lunch - including what was caught - is prepared. A guided snorkel along the barrier reef is also part of the day.
As with all Get To Know Belize Adventures we experienced, communication was excellent and the guides made the experience interesting, enjoyable and comfortable.

We Loved this tour!!! - We had an amazing time!!! Theo and Big Grouper made it so fun for us. They made sure we caught fish and even got us a lobster, then cooked us a delicious meal on the island. We saw dolphins from the boat and then snorkeled and saw nurse sharks, sting rays, and a variety of beautiful fish. Overall it was an amazing day.

Cook Your Catch is such a fun and unique experience! - This tour company is family-run by locals and Letticia was extremely helpful! The Cook Your Catch experience was amazing for our family with teenagers. Medz and Jeff are incredibly knowledgeable and made the day fun and memorable. We caught snapper, barracuda, lobster and jack which they grilled and served to us on private island! Snorkeling was beautiful and we felt so safe with Jeff by our side - highly recommend Get to Know Belize!

Unforgettable day and meal! - Our day on the “Cook What you Catch” tour with Medz and Jeff was among the highlights of our trip to Belize. They were so kind, accommodating, fun, and wow do they know what they are doing. We fished, snorkeled, explored a couple of cayes, and ended with an incredible homemade lunch that was easily one of the best meals we had on our trip (and we had some really fantastic food). It was all amazing and frankly, the excellent company of Medz and Jeff were icing on the cake.

Brief description of what your day will look like - First they set us up on catching some bait and let me operate the boat while they threw a cast net for some sardines. Then we got to go catch bigger bait with the sardines, caught some yellowtail and some crockers(used the croakers for bait). Then we went and caught some jack creval and a barracuda. We also snorkeled and I was able to get a lobster. They cooked us some great lunch with the barracuda, lobster, and the jack. They were great company as well and I would definitely recommend them👍

Great fishing, snorkeling, food, and guides! - Medz and Jeffry were the best guides on this private tour. We caught a lot of fish. The best snorkeling I’ve ever done, and one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The private island was beautiful and relaxing.
Worth every penny. Almost worth coming to Belize just for this tour.

Superb adventure. Great food! - They picked us up right from the doc in front of where we stayed. This company is run by a local family and the uncle is the boat captain, and his nephew was the tour guide. My Fiancé and I had a BLAST! Fishing was great. The moment the sinker hit the bottom you'd get a hit and reel up a snapper. Neither one of us love fishing because typically there is just lots of sitting and waiting, but not this time.
Then we went to the reef and snorkeled. It was lovely. Also, our guide pointed out conch shells on the sea floor. I dove to get them, and we brought them to the boat. Finally, we went to a tiny, private island and there were hammocks and such to relax in. Our captain removed the conchs from their shell and cleaned them and then our guide made fresh conch ceviche. It was AMAZING! We waded out from the island and did some more snorkeling while They cooked up the fish and veggies. Lunch was fresh and superb, and we both loved it. Also, they supplied rum punch! 😉
It was a superb outing. When we got home, we were pleasantly tired and lazed about in the pool for the rest of the afternoon.

Get To Know Belize is the real deal!!!! 10 stars, highly recommend! - Get To Know Belize is the real deal! Our golf cart was delivered on time, in new condition, no issues and easily one of the nicest carts in the village. Our Cook Your Catch tour was our family's favorite activity (we did over 10 different adventures) during our 2 weeks in Belize. Medz and Theo were professional, fun, highly skilled and had the best vibe! We caught fish, conch, lobster, snorkeled and had a truly incredible lunch cooked by them. I wish we would have had an opportunity to get out with them again. We also did the waterfall swim and shuttle back to Belize City for our flight out with Greg. He was true to the company reputation being fun, flexible (we randomly stopped for ice cream) and on time for everything. Josie and the staff online respond quickly and make setting anything up easy. Highly recommend and can't wait until we get to come back to hang out with them again.
