Super cool! But sad to see how little is left. - Overall pretty solid experience! However it’s really sad to see how little corral is left. There’s maybe 10% that’s still alive in the area we went to. It was all brown and dead. You still get to see a fair a bit of like but you can tell there used to be sssoooo much more. It makes you think whether you should be doing the tour since mankind is what’s killing it. We got to see nurse sharks, sting rays, barracuda, and all kinds of fish. Beautiful blue waters that you can see really far.

A fun & great experience - This was a fun tour. We got picked up from our resort by boat, which was nice! Then, we headed to the spots. You get brought to an island twice for prep & break, two different snorkeling areas with the reefs. Felt like they were not too short, not too long! The guide would point out & name the fish seen. We also got the chance to hold a starfish & conch! Be aware that the boat ride can get very bumpy.

Very cool experience, great guides - Awesome experience. We did a half day snorkeling and then a half day fishing. The guides are friendly and knowledgable. We went as a family - they did a great job arranging the trip so that everyone had a chance to jump in. If you're in Hopkins, this feels like a "must do"! The reef is gorgeous, and the boat ride out through the islands is really cool too.

Wonderful, family-owned outfitter in Hopkins! - We used Get to Know Belize Adventures, based in Hopkins, for a full-day snorkeling tour. Jeffrey and Anthony were the guides and Medz was the captain. The company was great to book with, they picked us up promptly at our hotel's dock, and the guides kept my 11-year-old safe and sound (despite his own best efforts!) The tour booked on-site was a much better price than the resorts offered, and we snorkeled at three spots, after an initial quick stop to check gear. The gear was all high-quality, and the crew made sure we were well outfitted. Jeffrey had an incredibly ability to spot sea life and we saw so many things (sting rays, manta rays, an eagle ray, an eel, conch, nurse sharks, angel fish, parrot fish, jacks, trumpet fish, big tarpons, vase sponges, a remora, lobster, and so many beautiful schools of fish.) All three answered our questions with generous tidbits and anecdotes about life in the area. Oh, and we stopped at Bread and Butter caye after snorkeling for fresh caught seafood that the guides had speared and just a little rum punch. It was truly one of the best days of my life. Cannot thank the company enough and we will definitely use them again when we, for sure, return to Hopkins. Enjoy your time. Belize is magical, and the people are just as wonderful. My only regret is that we didn't stay long enough to go out on the water with this crew a second time.

Honeymoon - Great guides, very helpful. You'll see some amazing fish. If you're lucky, you'll even have fresh caught lobster or snapper from the trip.

Our guides Medz and Theo... - Our guides Medz and Theo were amazing. Since we were traveling with our toddler they tailored the experience so we could all enjoy our time out on the water. My toddler got some beach time while mom and dad took turns snorkeling with Theo. The guides surprised us with cold water and banana bread as we were heading back. After a morning of sun and water it really hit the spot.

Great company, definitely recommend! - My husband and I booked 3 excursions with Get To Know Belize Adventures for our honeymoon trip to Belize and we were thrilled with each one! Our first day we did a full day snorkeling trip. Our guides were Theo and Grouper, they were both friendly and knowledgeable! We stopped at a small island to practice snorkeling a little before heading to the reef where we did 3 stops. Snorkeling is a bit more difficult than I thought it would be, you really need to be a good swimmer and have to keep swimming otherwise the current just takes you away. It was really fun to see Theo catching fish and lobster right off the reef and we saw dolphins, sharks and lots of other creatures! After our 3rd snorkel stop they took us to Bread and Butter Caye and cooked the most amazing lunch, it was seriously some of the best food we had our entire trip! They made grilled and curry fish, chicken, rice and beans, conch ceviche, chips and salsa, it was wonderful! There was also a bar where we got rum punch! And a super sweet and friendly dog roaming around that we spent plenty of time petting and hammocks perfect for a quick island nap! Our next trip was to the Xunantunich Mayan Ruins. It was a bit of a drive from Hopkins, close to 3 hours. We were grouped with a large family of 10 for the drive, but did have our own guide just for the two of us for the tour which we really appreciated! The ruins are beautiful and so interesting to see and explore and our guide was very friendly and knowledgeable. Our driver Alden (hopefully I spelled that right) was very nice and pointed out interesting things along the drive. Finally, we did a zip line trip at Mayflower Bocawina National Park! We had Alden as our driver again and he was an expert at navigating the dirt road into the park! The ziplining was beautiful and very safe. Josie was very easy to communicate with and did a great job of scheduling everything and answering all my questions! And if they end up grouping you with other people for your excursions they reduce the price a bit which was really nice! We would definitely book with them again if we return to Belize!

Good experience but not great - The crew was very friendly, and took us to 2 different good snorkeling spots on the reef. We saw manta rays and schools of beautiful fish! A couple of things though were not ideal. They arrived 45 minutes late to the pickup spot, with no communication about what was happening, but hey, that is the Caribbean life, I get it. However they did not extend the excursion time, so we only got 3 hours instead of 4 hours. Then the boat ride back to Hopkins was a 30 minute high-speed, bone-jarring ride across the channel, which was not enjoyable. So next time I think I would book somewhere else.
