The BEST tour and guide in Hong Kong - The guide Ashley made this tour absolutely amazing. She is knowledgeable and 100% accommodating
The tour was tailored to my request and MORE!
She is patient, friendly and professional
We made a purchase on one of the lovely shops that she introduced us to on our tour
It was to be delivered to our hotel prior to departure. The Four Seasons Hotel told us it hadn’t been delivered by courier we had to leave without it. I contacted Ashley, she took time and efforts to actually go to the hotel, track it down and have the hotel to ship it out to us. Now that is dedication over and beyond
We enjoyed every minute of the tour
There were many hidden gems that we would have never discovered on our own
We spent several smooth no rush hours walking around

10 stars. Could not ask for any better guide! - Full day of many great sites. Especially nan Lian garden with chi Lin nunnery close by. Used the under ground system called MTR. Enjoyed the birds in the aviary thru Hong Kong park. Got a great hike down from Victoria Peak. Great lunch at yum cha. Of course saw the longest escalator as well as rode the star ferry. We got the added bonus of Chinese new year and saw where the parade was in the city! Ashley went above and beyond to make our tour fabulous! Would definitely recommend! Really knows her stuff?

An unforgettable day in Hong Kong! - Ashley was an outstanding guide for our day tour of Hong Kong! Her deep knowledge of the city's history and culture made every stop fascinating. Best bike ride , monastery and Dim Sum tour - This was our 2nd tour with Ashley and we did a bike ride to the monastery and then went for a authentic Dim sum lunch , it was the best Dim sum we ever had and restaurant was beautiful..
Ashley’s knowledge and enthusiasm is wonderful and we loved every minute bf our day with her , we can’t wait to plan our next one

The Best Guide in Hong Kong! - We just spent three days with Ashley. This was our first visit to Hong Kong and because of Ashley, it won’t be our last. She knows her city inside and out, she is a great listener and knew exactly what we wanted to see and experience. We loved listening to her tell us about Hong Kong. We not only saw the beautiful sights of Hong Kong but Ashley also showed us how to eat through her city! Don’t miss buying live fish in the market and bringing it to a food stand in the market to be cooked. We will remember that lunch for years to come!! If you are coming to Hong Kong, be sure to book Ashley to be your guide. We have traveled the world and Ashley is certainly one of the best we’ve had. Thank you Ashley❤️

Perfect layover tour - Highly recommend Ashley for your tour of Hong Kong - The warm welcome to Hong Kong started before we left with kind introduction from Ashley asking what we wanted out of the day. We had an 11 hour layover giving us the time for this great tour which gave us a taste of Hong Kong and a resolve to go back and spend more time there. Ashley picked us up from the airport and using the airport express 25 mins later we were in central Hong Kong. We then used the walkway systems to walk through the central area before heading up to Victoria Peak before it got too busy. Then back down to explore the Park, take the Ding Ding tram, see the Central Market, the old central police station, the escalator system, Man Ho temple and SoHo All the time Ashley showed her depth of knowledge and passion of the history and culture of her city. The pace was just right. We stopped for nice lunch before heading back to the airport. Thank you Ashley for your delightful company and warmth, you gave us a day we will not forget .......you had a kind surprise in sending a summary of our day which made us feel as we were doing the tour again. Unreservedly recommend anyone to get in touch with Ashley for a tour in Hong Kong.

Ashley Mak is an INCREDIBLE local guide! - Two of us took an absolutely perfect full-day walking tour of Hong Kong, also using the subway, on December 11, 2024. Our private guide was Ashley Mak. After having spent the previous 28 days touring SE Asia, we were concerned that a full-day walking tour in Hong Kong would be a bit much for us. However, we enjoyed one of the greatest days of our lives under the care and guidance of Ashley!
I contacted Ashley several weeks in advance, giving her an overview of what we’d like to see. There was so much to see in so little time that we felt we needed guidance from a Hong Kong local. Not only were we able to visit so many of the well-known sites, but Ashley mixed in many sites seen and used by locals. We always enjoy learning about the local culture, so having Ashley as our guide was priceless. Her knowledge of the city and its history was invaluable.
Among the many activities and sites of the day were Hong Kong Park and the aviary within, the Peak Tram to Victoria Peak, St. John’s Cathedral, and the HSBC Headquarters. We were introduced to Kamcentre Roast Goose in BaseHall, eating alongside the local office workers at lunchtime. In the afternoon, we had tea at Lock Cha (Central) in Tai Kwun, the restored Central Police Station Compound. We took the Ding Ding (tram) along various areas before boarding the Star Ferry. Walking past the Old Clock Tower and the Avenue of Stars, we went up to the Felix on the 28th floor of the Peninsula Hotel, staying to watch the light show around Victoria Harbor.
Ashley recommended a few things to do the following day during our final hours in Hong Kong, helping us to leave the city after a brief 2-day visit very satisfied, yet yearning to return.
We enthusiastically recommend Ashley Mak as a truly excellent local guide in Hong Kong.

One of the BEST tours I have ever had! - Ashley is a first class tour guide! She took every opportunity to impart a vast array of knowledge about Hong Kong and its culture during our time together - no moment was wasted, and I was enchanted from start to finish. HIGHLY recommended for anyone who would like a custom experience maximizing the time available to experience this vibrant city! Ashely also assisted me with finding restaurants to fit my dietary restrictions (I was having a lot of difficulty with this before connecting with her) and additional ideas for the remainder of my stay. What an invaluable resource. I will definitely book a tour with her upon my next return to see even more of what Hong Kong has to offer. SIX stars out of five!

Hong Kong Revisited - Ashley was one of the most professional tour guides that we have met in all of our travels. She began communicating with me from the moment I booked several months ahead of our trip. As we had been to Hong Kong before she had asked what we wanted to see and provided a very good outline for the day to complement what we had seen on our last trip. She met us at the cruise port and stayed with us until we were back at the port. This is a walking tour and does use public transportation so be prepared especially on a hot muggy day. We explored both Hong Kong Island and Kowloon and ended up for lunch at a wonderful dim sum restaurant. Because of our interest in Jewish places we were able to visit the Hong Kong Jewish Center and Syngagogue during the tour. We had a request for a seal (rubber stamp) to be made for our grandchildren which included their English Names, Chinese Names and Birth Year. She took us to the experts and we had them made while we continued our tour. She went back herself to pick them up and then brought them to us as we were getting ready to board the ship. Hong Kong is a fascinating city with lots to see and discover and Ashley brough it to life for us.
