Topas Ecolodge - Between 6:30 and 7:00 AM, the journey begins from your Hanoi hotel with the Topas Mountain Express, taking a 5-hour transfer to Topas Ecolodge. After checking into your bungalow, enjoy the stunning and tranquil views of the surrounding mountains and valleys from your private balcony.
In the afternoon, embark on a walk starting from Topas Ecolodge along a peaceful road with a fantastic view of the rice terraces below. A gentle ascent leads to Lech village, where you will visit a traditional wooden house, meet the welcoming Red Dao hosts, and observe their daily lifestyle. The Red Dao women, like their ancestors, shave their hair and eyebrows and wear vibrant costumes. They are renowned for their exquisite handmade embroidery. On the return to Topas Ecolodge, walk along small trails through rice terraces and cross a suspension bridge, perfect for capturing stunning photos of the natural landscape. Your guide will share insights into the fascinating agricultural practices of the local farmers.

Discover the Most Remote Area of Sapa (B,L,-)

Terraced Rice Fields in Sin Chai Village - Enjoy a delightful breakfast and prepare for today’s adventure. At 8:30 AM, the excursion begins with a transfer deeper into Hoang Lien National Park to the trek’s starting point near Sin Chai village. Here, you are “off the beaten track,” enjoying breathtaking views of towering mountains, waterfalls, and deep valleys. The trails lead to the Red Dao village of Nam Nhiu, where you will meet the villagers, visit their homes, and learn about their daily lives. Leaving the village, a small dirt trail offers an inspiring view of the rice valley dotted with bamboo huts, used by local farmers as overnight lodges during harvest. After passing rice terraces and a river, walk along a quiet road before reaching Nam Cang village. Lunch is served at Topas Riverside Lodge, with the jungle behind and the river in front.

Sa Pa - Nam Cang village is situated in the most remote area of Sapa. The Red Dao women wear some of the most colorful and diverse costumes among Vietnam’s ethnic groups. They are highly skilled in herbal baths, local medicine, and embroidery. With your guide, explore the village and learn how the locals create writing paper, jewelry, and embroidery. You might also enjoy a swim in the river later.
At 14:15, transfer back to Topas Ecolodge. Consider booking a traditional Red Dao herbal bath at the lodge’s spa.

Departing the Mountains and Returning to Hanoi (B,-,-)

Fansipan Mountain - Spend a leisurely morning at Topas Ecolodge. Relax or borrow high-quality mountain bikes from the lodge at no charge to explore the surrounding areas. Alternatively, take a scheduled shuttle bus to Sapa to visit the town or book a half-day tour to explore the highest peak of Indochina, Mt. Fansipan (3,143m) via cable car.
Topas Mountain Express departs from Sapa at 13:15 and from Topas Ecolodge at 14:30, returning you to your hotel in Hanoi.
